"It's fine I get it." Darren stared at Jacob. He was just as scared but refused to show it.
He stared at his feet. Why was he so bad at this? Why was he so shy? Why couldn't he just say something? He opened his mouth to speak but all that came out was gibberish. He blushed and covered his face.

Darren was relieved to see the glow in Jacobs' eyes finally glaring into his. "Hey, do you wanna get out of here, i'm starting to feel cramped in here…."

Paige sat up finally, leaning her elbow against the table and resting her chin in her palm. "Mhm…" Her eyes were half open, but she was almost certain that it was just from her lack of sleep last night.

"I don't know how you've survived this place for so long. Why don't you run away or just…stop coming?" Paige questioned, tilting her head.
"How long have you been here?" Zanna asked him. Yeah, she was still sitting there.

“It’s not like I can’t come, I don’t have a place to leave and go to. Besides, they say I’m not mentally fit. And this would be my third year, I think,” Vaughn explained.
"Three years in this hellhole," Zanna mused, "I wonder how you did it."

Paige leaned in to the group, lowering her voice. "Okay that settles it. I can't stand this place anymore, even though I've only been here for…I don't know a day. Vaughn might be able to survive it, but I'm not. We need to get out of here."
