"Ah alright. Sorry 'bout that my bad. Must still be some liquor in my system then." Matt lightly smacked Michael on the back of his head. "I use it to loosen myself up, not kill myself. I'm a superhuman so it takes irregular amounts of alcohol to actually get me tipsy, anyways."
"Ow, same here! You think normal people have weird ghost fins that just happen to pop up every now and then?"

Matt slowly registered what he just said. "Oh… That's what those were…." he went quiet for a moment. "Sorry." Matt shuffled awkwardly, not knowing what to do or how to comfort the dude.
"No, n-no, it's fine. Nothing to be sorry about man."
Lavender slowly backed out of the room, bolting to the kitchen.

"Fuck it" Matt mumbled under his breath before hugging Michael in a tight embrace, but quickly released and turned around to leave if he was unwanted.
Michael's face immediately went red. "H-Hey, um, you don't have to go if you don't w-want to."
"I, I mean, um, it'd kinda suck being stuck in h-here to do nothing for six hours."
Lavender slipped inside her room, slamming the door shut and sliding down against the wall, tears in her eyes.
(oh my god I just realized that almost every character in here has had a breakdown at some point. why do we all have such angsty characters lol)

Matthias sighed in relief inwardly and sat at the foot of the bed in response. "Little tick ya got going?" he asked referring to the stutter.

Lavender cradled her head in her hands, tears springing to her eyes. They saw now, they saw the freak that you are. At least you didn’t loose the ring..

"Ah. Right-ieo then." Matt frowned at his own odd language and just sat there before randomly poking at Michael's feet. "Where do ya think tha lil' missy ran off to?"
Michael felt something like a computer dying a few times before finally turning on in his head. Distantly, he could hear Lavender's thoughts. H-Hey. You're not a freak. I pr-promise. My flatmate is a s-soul eating angel. You're okay.
Lavender’s eyes snapped open. How can you hear me?! And I am a freak, you don’t kniw the half of it.
I n-normally have it turned off, but this place is m-messing with my magic. I'm s-sorry, I'll stop transmitting. Michael looked down at Matt poking his feet. "I can't feel them y'know."
Lavender buried her head in her hands, thanking whoever was out there, God or other, that she’d found the ring.

"Ya sure?" Matthias attempted to tickle his feet. "How 'bout that?"
Michael scowled down at the currently useless limbs. "N-Nope. Feedback knocked em' out."

"Dang man." Matt stopped and looked at Michael's legs curiously. Sometimes he would poke and look up at his face to see if it worked, and would continue this at random intervals.
"Can't f-feel anything from about midthigh down. A-At least I can kinda feel something in my legs," he grumbled.

"Heh. Yeah. Good to know this is only temporary, right?" Matt stopped poking his legs and just sat at the end of the bed, looking straight ahead.
"I um. I'm not sure this time."

"Wh-what? How?! I guess we'll just have to carry you around then lil' mouse."
"W-Well um. I might be, probably am overthinking it, but I'm actually really scared right now. I've never had this much feedback before."

"I'm sure yer fine-lookin' legs will recover an' function properly an' all that." Matt grumbled and shook his head slightly as a different thought came into his head.
