"Okay, so let's check this out," Ryker said, taking the map from her.

"Ryke, do you even have ears? Mihala could rip apart space and time!"

She opened a bag of chips and started eating. "So where are we going first hot shot?"

"Right, space and time. We should probably figure out where we're going, though," Ryker said. "And don't call me Ryke,"

"Listen to me! I don't want to talk about Mihala behind her back, but she could kill us all. Not on purpose, but she's really dangerous. Lost will be a child of the sun? I totally missed that!"

Phoebe peered over at the map. "We should just follow this highway. It'll take us to Canada. And don't worry about passports, I can get us through."

"Also, Ryke, no, I'm gonna call you that forever."

“ How is she dangerous?” Asked Elizabeth.

"What're you going to do?" Ryker said, raising an eyebrow at Phoebe.

"Prophecies, minor ones, are the next step up from visions. She's a mini Fate."

Elizabeth raised an eyebrow, “Okay then.”

"I'm rich, money talks. Also, I have charmspeak if the money doesn't work."

“Hey Ryker, are we just heading north until something interesting comes up?” Elizabeth asked.

"Don't act so relaxed. There was another, when I was running away, he nearly died, and took the universe with him." Tobias….

Ryker rolled his eyes. "You're going to get us in jail, Casanova." he joked. "Maybe that's how the One will forever be in bars part is fulfilled,"

"I have passports for us." Mihala said sleepily. She had just woken up.

She flipped him the bird. "No i won't. I've done this before. And if I have any problems I have certain people I can call."

"Seriously? I can hand up the passports, guys." Mihala griped.

He laughed. "Okay, we'd better get driving again,"

She grinned and kissed his cheek. She grabbed the snack bags and passed them behind her, so the others could eat too.

Ryker rolled his eyes. He put the van in drive, but someone leaving the gas station caught his eye. It was a girl, and a pretty one at that, but he knew better. He put the van back in park and flipped his pencil around. "We've got company…" he said, readying his sword.

She looked to him. "Go take care of it then, if you like killing things so much." She made a shooting motion with her hands.

“We’ve got what?”
