Niko sat on a park bench with a book in hand. He was incredibly bored. It paled in comparison to his real-life experiences.
Cyprus started to walk boredly down the streets. Odd, he thought. The roads are usually crowded at night
Lillian walked on. A strangely cold breeze flew past. She stopped and looked up.

Niko made sure no one was around, then stretched himself out on the bench and used the book to cover his face. He figured sleeping was a better use of his time. Reading was a waste. What more could he see or learn?
(sort of, he's able to make himself almost physical when he wants)
Without realizing it, Cyprus passed someone on the street. He turned around to look at her
She felt as though someone was looking at her. "Hello?" she asked quietly, shifting one headphone.

Niko decided it might be best to go back to his apartment, but he was bored, and so awake. He got back up, shoved the book in his bag, and went on his way down the streets when a chill went down his spine. A chill that reminded him of death.
The ghost frowned at her. The streets were all but empty except for this child. He could probably mess with her, but decided against it. So he materialized and tapped her on the shoulder before moving in front of her
Lili jumped. "Sweet Jesus!" She placed a hand on her chest and puffed out a breath. "Who are you?" she asked warily.
Cyprus smiled at her. "I believe the better question would be what you're doing all alone on the streets."

Niko then saw Cyprus appear in front of a girl. He gasped. A ghost? He stood there, perplexed, but not scared. From a slight distance, he observed.
The ghost finally noticed Niko. "Oh. Not entirely alone I see."
Cyprus smiled at her. "I believe the better question would be what you're doing all alone on the streets."
Lili narrowed her eyes at the figure, and turned around at his comment. "Who are you?"
He did a little bow. "Cyprus of Castle Lucelle, at your service."

Niko was still staring. Behind his back, he had a small flame in his hand. He was still unsure if the ghost was benevolent or not. Niko didn't speak, but he did draw closer.
"Weird name." She eyed him. "Are you, like, royalty or something?"
"The last prince of my kingdom, in fact."
She raised an eyebrow. "And what kingdom might that be?" she asked skeptically.

"A prince, huh?" Niko asked, "What are you doing here, then? Don't you have some afterlife to hang out in?"
Cyprus turned to Niko. "Oh, so the child hiding in the shadows decides to speak. Well for what it's worth, Purgatory is horrible."
Lili grimaced. "Afterlife? Purgatory? What the hell is this?"

"Purgatory? Hah. I've been to hell and back," Niko scoffed.
Cyprus rolled his eyes. "You and I both."
Lili's eyes widened. "OK, guys, seriously. What are you both going on about?"
