Leo, Eli and Jace talked to the police. They explained everything that had happened from their treatment to the fight with Haile, leaving out the paperwork. The men listened and nodded, scanning the group of kids. One approached Ella's body. "This is Eleanore?" he asked no one in particular.

Ana stood back, some what intimidated by the police officers.
The officer stood up and put his hands on his hips. "Well, kids, you guys did a pretty unbelievable job. We're just going to do a sweep of the place, get some paramedics for Ella and the girl who was choked." He smiled and clapped Jace on the shoulder reassuringly before walking away

"Of course, kid. That's our top priority, considering what you've told us." The police officer waved at his group to start doing a sweep of the place. "Is there anything you can tell me about these men? Especially the ringmaster, as we've yet to identify him?"

“That man’s name is Anthony Haile, former husband of Melissa Haile and father of Caroline and me. I’m Griffin, but you probably know me as Gwendolyn.”
"I see. Caroline is your sister. Where can we find her?"
“He knows. The last time I saw her she was with my mom. My mum is— gone now.”
The officer pursed his lips and nodded. He jotted some things down and walked off to talk with his group.
Leo sighed. "I hope they can do something for us."
