Ana's hands were shaking. Eli put a comforting hand on her shoulder and she relaxed slightly, peering ahead as she saw a figure in the dark.
Leo thought he saw a silhouette in the hallway ahead. "Am I the only one seeing this?" he whispered.

Eli shook his head. "No, I see it too."
"I'm not sure that's a good thing." He took another slow step. "Hello?" he called cautiously.
The figure came closer.
Leo slowed to a stop. "Who are you?"
The figure laughed menacingly, then dissappeared.

Leo stepped back, startled. "Di- did she just vanish?" He bumped into Ana in his surprise.

Leo followed warily. The hallway remained deserted, but he had a strange feeling.
