"Alice Murray," he drawled.
“Never heard of her. Who is she?”
"An accomplice."
"Will you tell us how you know her?" Lia asked.
"No."
"Why not? Not telling us is not going to make us believe you have nothing to do with this"
"Maybe I do have something to do with this." He paused. "And maybe I don't and the only reason I'm not telling you anything is because I don't know her."

"I'm sure you know something about her," Ana said, crossing her arms.
"Well sure I know something about her," he said in a mocking tone. "She's Alice Murray, female, 21 years old, and a mercenary."

"Mercenary…" Elliot repeated quietly.
"Mercenary."
Griffin put his head in his hand. “Is she sane?”
He shrugged. "Not sure. Probably barely."
He shuddered. "How do you know her?"
"Again, I don't. I've just met her in passing."
"And you're letting her wander around in your circus murdering poeple because?"
He cocked an eyebrow at her. "Because I'm f**king tied up, aren't I?"

"And you're not being let out." Eli told him sternly. "We can deal with this."
He laughed bitterly. "You keep telling yourselves that, and next thing you know another one of you is going to be dead on the floor."
Griffin clenched his fists. "Tell us what else you know about her."
