Lia became visible again after a moment. "I doubt it. One, we would've heard the police officers ages ago. And two, ghosts don't have footsteps. I've only been dead for twenty minutes, but I've already discovered that."
Jace huffed. "Don't say it like that."

Leo groaned. "Great. Another madman on the loose."

"Lia, you and Eli check the room where Haile and the ringmaster are." Jace told his sister.
"On it," she said before disappearing from sight.

Leo scanned the lab. "I feel like we should look around this place more."

They made their way to that room, and enter to see only the ringmaster.
"Oh… oh this is bad," Lia gasped.

Lia floated over to the rusty handcuffs on the floor. "He must've gotten these off somehow… well, obviously but…" she trailed off. "We need to go tell the others."

Lia hurried back into the room where everyone was. "Okay, we have a prob-" she stopped.
"What? What is it?" Jace asked.
Lia swallowed. "Where's Alice?"

Eli made sure he was still invisible as he floated down the hallways, checking every room.
Haile collapsed onto the floor of a cupboard, leg throbbing. "F***ing kids." He peeled off his pants leg and inspected the bullet wound.

They look around the room to see Alice missing from her earlier spot.
"Well, we had a big problem. Now it's even bigger. Haile's missing. He's somewhere in the building. And now, I guess, so is Alice."

Although he knew that he couldn't die again, Eli felt himself jumping at every little thing. God…I'm turning into Ana… Seeing as nothing was down this corridor, he hurried to the next.
He tore off a strip of fabric and tied it tightly around his leg to stop the blood. He then stood up and continued hobbling through corridors, a slight trail of blood left behind.

The scent of blood filled his nostrils. Ugh…am I having smell-hallucinations? Elliot chuckled at his own joke. Stop, don't make yourself laugh. That's pitiful.
He walked on, praying the performers weren't around. If it weren't for those meddling kids, he'd be out of here by now.

Honestly, Eli had no idea what to do now. He had no way to contact the others from here without loosing Haile or making him suspicious. For now, he just watched.
Haile looked around. No one was there. He kept moving, humming quietly under his breath.
