He walked on, the pain escalating. He grit his teeth and let out a quiet whine.
As the group left the lab to split up to start looking, they felt a cold breeze go by.

Haile stiffened and fell to the floor. He held his mouth shut, eyes wide with terror. He curled up into a ball on the stone floor, biting down on his fist and drawing blood.

He was drowning again, but he tried to push Haile's memories towards the man to make him scream.
The memories became more vivid, clearer. He broke down, tears flowed, but he still didn't make a sound.

Jerk, why won't you just make sound? Eli decided to scream himself, trying to get the other's attention.
A scream sounded behind… no, in front… no, in. In? Haile. He jumped to his feet and shook himself violently.

Eli rattled around inside Haile's body. *Stop it idiot! You're giving me a headache!"
"Someone's that way," Lia whispered sharply and her and Jace took off in the direction of the scream.
He slammed into the wall behind him, attempting to free himself.

Eli finally released himself from Haile, gasping and suddenly visible. "…S***…"
A cruel grin split Haile's face. "Look who it is…"

Eli crossed his arms, smirking slightly. "Jokes on you, I'm already dead. You can't hurt me."

Back on the room, Griffin searched the cabinets.
Haile chuckled darkly. "Courtesy of Alice, I imagine?"
Leo went to the cages lining the back wall and started to search them.

Haile nodded. "Who else did he get?"

Haile nodded. "Shame. She had such a beautiful voice."

"That she got from an injection of genetics. Honestly if it were me, I'd keep my raspy old man voice."
Haile shook his head. "Actually, she was one of the only ones who wasn't touched."
