City Streets (CLOSED 3/3)

"I can using a special herb that augments my power. But its risky even for me, too much is instantly lethal, too little and I'll lose control, that wouldnt be a bad thing for most, but I'm an alta so I have to be extra careful." He explained as he carefully stood. "I also can't use it again for at least a moon, which is why I didnt want to use it. But this will be faster for everyone, especially because i can carry one of you."

Letha quickly shook her head "Not with that cut, you aren't carrying anything," She looked at him and shook her head again.

Skye gave her a look like steel. And then he slipped under her which resulted with her on his back then he proceeded to walk up the hill. "Uh yeah .. I can.. and btw this isn't the first time I've had Nebulan poisoning… I know my limits."

"Where are you guys going so I can meet you there?" Pete asked, still not wanting to tell them that he also had powers.

"Ask her she never told me what it was called. But you should really stick around here with us." Said Skye
(Btw Skye is currently in wolf form maybe a little bit smaller than a small pony?

Letha jumped off of Skye's back when he got to the top of the hill and she glanced at him "I'm still not going to let you carry anything, even if you've had Nebulan poisoning before.."

Skye gave her a weird look. "in case u didnt hear me before.. I need you as a guide. We also need to move quickly to avoid Hunters. We need to move quickly so I dont die. I can carry you for a good distance much faster than you on foot can run. And sooner or later I'm not going to be able to stay on my own 2 feet for more than 2 seconds and not long after that I will be reduced to a delirious idiot. So I say we get moving. And the fastest way to do that is for one of you to ride."

"Just..just let me think about it.." She mumbled and started walking in the direction they needed to go. She stayed quiet and sighed, yelling at herself for not being able to take someone else's help.

Skye followed along padding beside her, his shoulder at her waist.

(I know where my waist is and that's about how big wolves in my world generally are.)

Letha stayed quiet and looked at the ground, trying to figure out a way to tell Skye that she didn't like having to be helped. The injury in the fight was bad enough..I don't need him doing anything else for me.. she thought and continued on silently.

Skye thought about her reaction to his offer more than a little confused. He didnt mean to intrude on her independancy or anything like that, he was trying to implement some teamwork so that niether of them or Peter would be in any more danger than they had to..

Letha finally spoke up "Skye, I'm sorry about earlier…I just don't like people doing things for me, It makes be feel like a burden.." she looked away after she said it and sighed.

Skyes earns perked up. "Huh, he said well I guess i was a little too forceful, i guess I'm just used to always working as a team." "or being the only other one to match Alex's abilities in strength and having to be ready to back him up all the time " thought Skye remembering what his little bro did most of the time.." I hope hes ok.." "wolf pack mindset I guess…" he gave her a wolfish grin.

Letha shook her head "No, I can be very stubborn at times and I'm not used to being on a team either, I usually work or end up alone."

"Believe it or not I grew up the same way and I had the same problem when I met my little brothers." He said as they went along

"I have one brother, but he is way older than me and he as his own family.." She looked over at him and smiled lightly "Though he was always helping my dad when I wanted to play."

Skye laughed " one brother? I've got 3 and 2 sisters."

Letha chuckled "wow, quite the family," She smiled softly at him and thought about her brother for a second.

"Eh they're crazy.. but I love em.." said Skye as he padded along "So do u wanna speed this up?"

Letha nodded "Sure, I mean, if you are ok with it,"

"Absolutely. Just keep in mind that riding wolves is nothing like riding a horse.." he said with a wolfish smile as he came up next to her so she could mount properly

"Ok, I'll try my best," Letha slung her leg over his back and sat down, scooting forward to where she though she should be.

Skye shifted under her weight "if you could lean forward a bit and bring your legs back towards my tail that'd be great" he said.

"Is this better?" She shifted her legs back and leaned forward more, holding onto his fur lightly for stability.

"Better, just dont stiffen up. It makes it harder for me to make sure you dont fall." He said as he started padding forward moving slowly so she could get used to it.

Letha froze slightly when he started moving but quickly relaxed, getting used to the walking.

Skye felt her relaxation and sped up a little, halfway between a lope and a walk. "U good?"

"Yup," Letha nodded and smiled excitedly.

Skye immediately launched into a fast lope, moving easily through the trees, swerving in between them and and seeming to know exactly where they'd be.
