"Hamster? Why hamster?" Kenzie asked, giving Hunter an odd look.
Willow shrugged. "You could always speed up, babe."
"Hamster? Why hamster?" Kenzie asked, giving Hunter an odd look.
Willow shrugged. "You could always speed up, babe."
"Because you remind me of one when you're pouting," he replied.
"And risk getting a ticket?" Leo looked at Willow with narrowed eyes. "I'd rather not."
"You know a hamster is a rodent, right?" Kenzie reminded him, still giving him that look. "So you're essentially calling me a rodent."
"Okay, okay…" Willow sighed. "How much longer until we're there?"
"A cute rodent," Hunter corrected.
"Five more minutes," Leo replied with a groan.
Kenzie scrunched up her nose. "Still a rodent…"
"And we have to endure them for the rest of that time," Willow sighed.
"You don't like them?" Hunter raised an eyebrow. "I think this is going to affect our relationship."
"We're here!" Leo finally exclaimed, taking a right turn and finding a place to park the car. "Thank God! I thought I would go insane from their bickering."
"No, they're cute. I just don't really want to be compared to a rodent," Kenzie said with a shrug. She looked at Leo and raised an eyebrow. "And we're not bickering."
"Sure you weren't," Willow mumbled.
“Right, now get out,” Leo tapped his side of the window impatiently. “Willow and I have our vacation ready. We’re running out of time.”
“Vacation?” Hunter raised an eyebrow. “Why am I hearing of this right now?”
“Our vacation starts when you leave,” Leo answered like it was obvious. “No more Hunter to annoy me. Best vacation ever.”
Willow chuckled. "Exactly. Get outta here, you two."
"Wow, I feel so betrayed. Don't you feel betrayed, Hunter?" Kenzie asked, turning to him.
“It’s like a knife to the back,” Hunter heaved a dramatic sigh.
“True friends stab you in the front, my man,” Leo said, quoting Bring Me The Horizon. Hunter rolled his eyes.
“Let’s get out of here, Kenz,”
"Yup! Let's ditch these jerks and get on our way to Greece!" Kenzie exclaimed, moving to climb out of the vehicle.
“Right behind you,” Hunter nodded, opening the door.
Kenzie hummed as she grabbed her bags from the trunk, then waited for Hunter. She grinned at him excitedly, ever in disbelief that this was actually happening to her, that she was really married and going on her honeymoon.
"Damn, we have about half an hour to get everything done," Hunter cursed quietly to himself, upset at being late. "We gotta go now. See you in a few weeks."
"Bye guys. Have fun!" Willow called with a light laugh, waving out the window.
Kenzie bounced on her toes and made her way over to Hunter with a grin. She reached up to peck him on the lips. "C'mon, let's go!"
Hunter shook his head before saying his goodbyes, clasping Kenzie's hand and walk inside the airport.
A few hours later, with, thankfully, no layovers, Hunter and McKenzie arrived at the airport in Athens. Kenzie couldn't keep the excited gleam from her eyes as she looked around in wonder. She didn't travel much, the farthest from home she'd ever been was New York, and that was for a school trip.
Hunter watched Kenzie with a smile on his lips. She looked so excited that it made Hunter excited, too. They were actually on their honeymoon. He couldn’t believe it.
“I have a question…” Hunter started with a sudden realization. “Do you, by any chance, know Greek?”
"Um… No?" Kenzie said, giving him a sheepish smile. "I didn't take a language class in high school, to my great regret."
Hunter rubbed the back of his head.
"I know a little bit," he said, returning her smile. "I took classes for a few months before I stopped. My father believed it was necessary, and at that age, I was a little rebellious."
"Well, some is better than none at all," Kenzie said with a shrug. "Do you know where we're going next?"
“I booked us rooms in Ava Hotels and Suites, but honestly, I don’t know where it is,” Hunter admitted. “Lindsey went ahead and got us a guide for a day, but I don’t know where we’re supposed to meet him.”
(Just for the record… I googled it and it was the most comfortable hotel I found.)
(Lol. I usually just make places up.
IT'S SNOWING! FRICKING SNOWING!!! And the roads are scary icy!)
"Okay, then they should be holding a sign up for us," Kenzie said, standing on her tiptoes to look.
(YES IT IS! :D)
Hunter nodded.
"Let's continue walking and try to find them," he said to her, grabbing their suitcases and moving along.
(It is not okay…)
"Okay," Kenzie said, looking around as she followed him.
When they were almost to the doors, she saw a woman holding a sign with "Mr. and Mrs. McArthur" on it in bold black letters.
"I think I found her."
Hunter noticed as well and sighed with relief. They walked to the woman.
"Thank you for meeting us here," he said to her once they got to her. "I hope you didn't have to wait long."
(Can you do her, please? My brain is fried…)
Kenzie nodded in agreement with Hunter, giving the guide a polite smile. "Yes, thank you very much."
(Of course!)
The woman nodded.
“My name is Alisha,” the woman introduced herself before pausing, her English perfect. Although her accent was slightly weird, Hunter could understand every word. “Since it’s late, I’ll be guiding you to your hotel.”
"That sounds great!" Kenzie said, grinning as she leaned into Hunter's side.
The woman nodded with a smile.
"All right, then, follow me," she said, already turning around and walking away, her heels clipping as she walked.
