"Oh, yeah! I like that," Kenzie agreed with a grin as she leaned into him. "I was looking through some names earlier, too, and I was thinking Luca for a boy, maybe? Or James?"

"Lucas James," Hunter mused. "Lucas James McArthur. That sounds a mouthful, but a good name."
"I like it. We could call him Luke. Or Luca," Kenzie suggested, squeezing Hunter's hand excitedly. "What about a middle name for a girl?"
"Luke," Hunter repeated with a smile on his face. "Eden… Grace? Jane? Rose?"
“Oh, I like both Grace and Rose…” Kenzie mused, chewing on her lip. “Which do you like better?”
"Rose," Hunter murmured. "She'll be our little joy."
“Yeah, she will. And Luke will be perfectly adorable,” Kenzie whispered softly, her eyes alight.
Hunter kissed the top of his wife's head.
"Thank you," he whispered. "For giving me this happiness, Kenzie."
“Hey, I didn’t plan this, so I can’t take the credit,” Kenzie chuckled. “But I’m happy, too. So so happy.” She hummed and reached up to kiss him softly.
Hunter kissed her back, wrapping an arm around her waist.
"I'm glad you are," he murmured against her lips. "Let's go home?"
“Mmhm. That sounds like a good idea. I’m getting tired,” Kenzie said before pulling away gently.
“All right then,” Hunter said, still clasping Kenzie’s hand and slowly leading her towards their car.
“You’re going to treat me like glass now, aren’t you?” Kenzie teased jokingly as she sat down in her seat.
“Is that even a question?” Hunter scoffed. “I know you can take care of yourself but that doesn’t mean I won’t pamper you.”
“Babe, I’m not glass, though. And I’m perfectly fine for at least a few months,” Kenzie said softly.
"I know you aren't," Hunter replied with a small smile. "I won't treat you as such. You're a strong, badass woman."
Kenzie blushed and smiled over at him a bit. “You give me too much credit sometimes,” she murmured.
Hunter shrugged.
“No, not really,” he answered nonchalantly. “I’m saying what’s true.”
Kenzie smiled at him for a moment longer before leaning her head back against her seat with a hum. “All right… Lets go home so I can take a nap…”
"Right, let's go," Hunter laughed. By the time they reached home, it was already 8. Thankfully, they didn't have college; they graduated a couple of months right after their wedding. That meant they didn't need to skip college. That also meant they needed to find a job soon. Kenzie was slowly getting closer to her dream of becoming a vet, and it pleased Hunter. His wife was terribly good with animals. Him, not so much.
“Okay, I’m going to go lay down. Do you want to join me, or do you have something you need to do?” Kenzie asked as she stepped out of the car.
"I'll join you in a while," Hunter said. "I got something to do."
Kenzie gave him a small smile and a nod before pecking his lips and making her way inside. Once she reached the bedroom, a wide grin spread across her face, and she let out an excited squeal.
“I’m pregnant, I’m pregnant, I’m pregnant!” she sang, doing a little dance before laying on her back on the bed, still grinning excitedly.
(Can we skip?)
(Sure. To a few months later, maybe? Kenzie with a baby bump, oh my gosh…)
(That would be so cute!! Can you start?)
(Sure, no problem.)
A few months later, Kenzie was in her second trimester and feeling much better. She still really liked French toast, which she found slightly amusing, but she couldn’t stand to be around peanut butter, which was not so amusing. Her morning sickness came and went, but it was mostly gone by now.
She was starting to show the fact that she was pregnant and had a small baby bump. To keep it a secret from Willow and Leo, she wore larger shirts around them, at least until she and Hunter told them the news.
The ultrasound was that day, actually, and they would get to see the gender of baby McArthur. Kenzie was excited beyond words and was flirting around the house as she collected her things, then the things that she’d dropped while collecting her things.
Hunter watched Kenzie with an amused smile. Time flew by so fast. Kenzie now had a baby bump growing. She glowed brighter, and it made Hunter happy.
"Are you ready?" he asked her softly. "For the ultrasound?"
“I just need my purse… I don’t remember where I put it, do you?” Kenzie asked as she looked around the room. The item in question was actually hanging from her arm, but she was too nervously excited to remember that.
Hunter laughed, shaking his head in amusement.
“It’s on your arm,” he grinned. “You don’t need to be nervous, Kenzie.”
