"Umm…..Lelanii?" Leah told, confused.

A slow smile spread across his face. “My brother has a girlfriend with that last name.”

Leah raised her eyebrow. "Oh really? Ron didn't tell me she had a boyfriend….." But she smiled too. "Interesting…."

“Very.” He smirked. “He’s over the moon for her, can’t stop yammering on and on about her.”

Leah laughed. "Sounds nice. To have someone talk about you like that." Leah said with a smile. "And I'm glad that Veronica has someone who wants her to be safe as much as I do. "

“He’ll take care of her.”, he smiled.

"Well with this information I will sleep easier at night." Leah said with a smile.

Leah nodded. "Good to know. But if he hurts her, just know I mean my threats seriously." She said. "Wow maybe that's why she didn't tell me……..but I can't help it. Being overprotective kind of comes with the big sister contract."

“Yeah—sure, is it’s good with you.”

Rafael nodded, picking up his phone and dialing his brother’s number.

“Hey. Um, your girlfriend— she’s in the hospital.”

Leah smiled. "Okay. Now we just wait." She said, sinking back into her seat. "And this is why I wanted to get into law school. But of course my parents wouldn't let me." She said, more to herself than to Rafael.

Hunter walked around the estate, keeping a sharp eye on anything that seemed out of place. The decoration was going according to plan, so Hunter left to check on the chefs, which was going well as well. Hunter knew he could trust Kennedy.
