The nurse handed a paper to Leah. "Veronica is clear to go, but she has a concussion. Don't let her sleep for a few hours." Leah nodded as Veronica stood up.

Leah picked up her phone. "I'll order some pizza for tonight Ron."

Matteo gave his girlfriend a light hug and pecked her in the cheek, Rafael standing back and surveying the girl to make aure she was alright.

Veronica smiled and hugged Matteo back. "Hmm……..hey Leah, what are we doing tonight?"
"Ahh…………..pizza and a Disney marathon? I don't know. What ever you want."
"Okay." Veronica looked at Matteo. "Wanna come over for supper?If you have plans it's fine though."

Matteo smiled broadly. “I wouldn’t want to be any trouble, but if that’s okay…..” Rafael grinned, mussing his brother’s hair. “What time should I pick him up?”

Veronica shook her head. "Both of you can come, right Leah?" Leah uncrossed her arms and looked at Rafael. "If they both want to come then that's fine with me."

Rafael hesitated. Going over to some random girl’s house? Not a good idea. “Sure.” The words flew out of his mouth.

Leah nodded. "Okay. Do you….need to get your car first though?" She asked as they started walking out of the hospital.

“My car’s near my flat, which is a few blocks away from the coffee shop. I walked there, I should be fine. Want me to drive or can you? Either way, we should probably let these two have some privacy in the back.” Matteo slapped him.

Leah laughed. "Sure." Veronica slapped her and she laughed. "Shut up Leah, or I'll tell Rafael and Matteo about the Kukabura incident." Leah's eyes widened. "You wouldn't. You–you COULDN'T!!!" Leah pretended to be terrified. "Try me." Veronica answered with a smirk.

Rafael burst out laughing. “What??” They got to the car.

"Nada. Nothing. Veronica said nothing. Forget about it." Leah said with a playful undertone. But Veronica had already started talking. "ONE TIME WHEN LEAH AND I WERE IN AUSTRALIA SHE SAW A BIRD AND WANTED TO TOUCH IT BUT DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT HOW AGGRESSIVE IT GETS WHEN PEOPLE GET NEAR IT'S EGGS–"
Leah tried to cover Veronica's mouth. "SHUT UP I WAS THIRTEEN!!" She was on the verge of laughing though.

Rafael doubled over with laughter, clutching his sides. “Jesus I had no idea!”, he wheezed, chips of paint coming off his arms.

"SHE ALMOST DIED AND SAM—" She faltered. ""Well Sam did the only logical thing a big brother would do when his little sister is doing something stupid. He literally dragged her away before the bird pecked her eyes out." Leah seized her laughing and sighed. "Ah……….those were simpler times. But Sam was more idiotic that me, for the record."
"SSSSSSSSSSSSUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEE." Veronica said as she got into the back.
