She shrugged. "Suit yourself." She stood, stretching. "I should get to bed," she said. "You should too. We have a lot to do tomorrow." She headed down the tree, to the roof, through the window, into her room.

Kye stayed where he was, thinking back to the first time he'd ever entered a cave. He'd been dared by some "friends" to go down with them. But when he went in, they pushed him down a hole where he couldn't get out, and they left him. He wandered that cave for weeks, with very little food, before he found his way out. After that, he vowed never to get lost in a cave ever again. That is why he spent so much time in the caves.
Hunter gazed out the window, at the sky. She sighed. Helping strangers with quests was no fun, especially if they died. And then most of them forgot about her.
(Time skip?)
Hunter awoke long before the sun rose. She packed supplies into a bag and waited for Kye, going over the plan in her head.
Hunter stood leaning against the wall, her eyes closed, soaking in sunlight. She didn't notice him.
Hunter opened one eye. "Hey. Ready to go?"
Hunter straightened. "Well, there's a village a few miles away, where we can get some supplies."
Hunter clambered down and jumped gracefully to the ground. She grinned up at him. "The creatures don't come out during the day, so we're fine for now."
Kye swung down using only the middle of the ladder before dropping to the ground next to Hunter. "That makes things nicer," he smiled. He could hear birds singing in the distance, but didn't comment on it, his hearing was sharper then most. But the songs put an even brighter smile on his face.
Hunter grinned. "I know." She whistled sharply, and a dark green blur shot towards her. It wrapped around her arm and slid into her sleeve. She jerked her head to Kye. "Come on. Let's go."
He fell into pace next to Hunter. He walked in silence, his eyes still adjusting to the light. He'd been down in the caves for a long time, without light. So now that it was bright and sunny, he had to let his eyes adjust fully. It made not stumbling over things difficult. But he managed to keep up.
Hunter walked noiselessly, her hand next to her face, whispering something into her sleeve.
Hunter snorted. "Bored? Don't worry, we're almost there." She glanced up at the position of the sun, adjusting the pack on her shoulder.
Hunter gave him a half smile. They exited the woods and found themselves in a rolling, green field. A small village was nearby. Hunter gestured with her head, and started off towards it. As soon as the watchmen saw who it was, they opened the gate, a frightened look on their face.
Hunter smirked slightly. "Very." She strode through, chin held at an arrogant tilt. She walked into the market, and silence fell immediately. She gestured around. "Get whatever you think you'll need. I can pay for it."
She stared at him, then shrugged, walking over to the herb stall. She got a couple of plants and a gray cloak before tossing a pure gold coin down.
Hunter shrugged, and led him to a stable. Two dragons were saddled, one black, one fiery colored.
