Micah heard a loud THUD and turned around, running into the room to see Mariko passed out on the floor. He gasped, hopping over to her instead. After a few seconds of checking to make sure she hadn't injured herself too bad, he shook her back and forth. "Mari!" He whispered to her, his voice barely heard over Phoebe's shrieks for a doctor.

Blood. Blood. Blood. Blood. Mariko opened her eyes to find herself on a table. Old, buried memories knocked her in the head and she looked around, vision blurry. Her everything hurt. From the other side of the room was a large glass wall, hiding a team of scientists. "It seems subject: 1 is awake, begin process of T.A.M.P.E.R." Mari scrambled back, noticing her hand was missing, but then the room changed and all her limbs were missing and she couldn't feel anything, and she was burning and her blood covered the floor and she couldn't see and couldn't smell anything and the only thing she could hear was the sound of her own screams filling the air that was thick with blood. I don't want to die. Mariko curled up into a ball and realized that she could hear something else. Her name. "Micah?" Mari stumbled around blindly and then she busted awake, sweating and panting and grateful that she could see again.

"Mari…Mariko!" Micah panicked for a few seconds before relaxing when she opened her eyes. "Mari….hey are you okay?"

"Not okay. Not okay." Mariko pushed herself up, "I need to leave. Not feeling well. Blood." she shuddered and hugged herself.

He looked her in the eyes, placing his hands on her shoulders. "What happened? I mean, after you passed out?" Blood…that can't be good…
"Nothing. I'm not feeling well." Mariko leaned onto the wall, "I could throw up right now."

He hopped away slightly. "Don't tell me that nothing happened. You're sweating and obviously scared…"
"I had a bad dream, it was nothing." Mariko crossed her arms and then lurched, the smell of smoke filling her nose and the feel of blood coating her hands. "Nothing."

Micah sighed. I'm a terrible friend…she doesn't even trust me… "Fine, don't tell me. I get the whole hiding your secrets from your friends thing."
Mariko nodded, "Thanks for understanding."

He nodded, leaning back into the wall. So this is what it's like on the receiving end…
Mari closed her eyes and took a deep breath, counting tiny sheep in her head, and pushing away the memories of her dream.

Micah suddenly remembered what he'd been doing previously. He hopped out of the room and continued calling for a doctor.
Mariko rushed out of the room, away from the blood and found a nice, secluded hallway to sit and stare at the wall in.
