"Kerenza, I won't die, as long as you're here I'll be alive for you," He walked towards his father and punched him square in the jaw.

Her father stumbles backwards, then pulls the gun back out. "You rat!" He shoots it.
Kerenza moves in front of Leon.

(This seems quite dramatic…………….)

He grabbed Kerenza and pulled her aside before the bullet hit her,"So you are a pussy."

Kerenza hugs him. "No…we can't…we need to get out of here…"
Her father smiles, "Oh dear…well then…"

"Fine," He said and glared at her father one final time. He grabbed her wrist and ran to his house.

She follows him, whimpering. Her bright blue eyes were full of tears.
Her father runs back to his house.

He fumbled with his keys trying to find the key to his house and barged into his house,"you're never going back to him," He said as he hugged her.

She hugs him back, tightly, as the tears fall. "I don't want to…t-t-thank you…"

"You're welcome."

She cries into his shoulder. "You saved me…better than anyone has ever tried to do…"

"What do you mean?" He asked still hugging her.

"P-people…have tried saving me…my father either kills them…or tortures them…I hate him…" The tears start slowing down.

"Well, he didn't kill me," He said as he hugged her tighter.

"He could have…Leon…I thought I would never find you…"She whimpers.

"Keyword is he could have, but he didn't."

"Leon this isn't funny…"She whispers.

"I know," He whispered back.

"I-I have nowhere to stay…and all my stuffs at his house…" She cries. She hugs him tighter, not wanting to let go.

"I'll get it," he said.

"He'd kill you if you went there…"

"If he's alive by that time."

"L-Leon…? What do you mean…?" She pulls away, looking up at him. "What does that mean? "

"Let's just say he won't be at your house when I enter. He'll be somewhere else on this world above ground."

"Leon…no…don't do anything…he'd hurt you…I don't want that…" Her jacket falls off on shoulder, exposing thousands of scars from her father abusing her.

"But I'm supposed to protect you,"

"Leon…" She takes his hands gently, running them over the scars. "Look what he does…he's ruthless…"

"I couldn't care less," He said as he rolled up his sleeves, revealing the scars he'd gotten from living on the streets and being abused.

"Leon…" She whispers, looking down. "He killed my mother."

"I'm an orphan…"
