(Oof. Called him (and me) out.)
"Oh, honey," Xander muttered, "That's only the second time I've been caught, and I've been at it for literal years."

(Oof. Called him (and me) out.)
"Oh, honey," Xander muttered, "That's only the second time I've been caught, and I've been at it for literal years."
Tanrial rolled her eyes, “Then be more careful, you don’t know who else could see.”
"You're probably only used to being around humans," Luca said, leaning to one side a bit. "But this specific cafe is overrun with demons, and for a lot of us it's easy to spot somebody using magic to steal from a tip jar."
group
"Demons…?" Xander squeaked. He shoved his icy-cold hands in his pockets.
"Look, kid, if you can perform shadow magic, I'm willing to bet you know about demons." His eyes flashed the color of gold for a moment before fading back to a dull blue. "We're a lot more perceptive than you think, so be careful when you decide to steal money from us."
group
Xander, before he knew it, had conjured a bit of shadow from his fingertips. He backed away from Luca, and closer to Tanrial, holding a defensive stance.
"Of course I've heard of demons. I've just never actually had this close of a brush with one. My dad used to tell me about them, but of course I figured he made that stuff up."
Luca glanced down at the shadow on the guy's hands. He laughed lightly. "How cute."
group
Xander opened his palm, and as he stood there, the shadows went to slowly form the outline of a blade. He was well-aware he was much more afraid than the demon he faced, and that if he was attacked, he would be done for, but anything that could potentially get him out of the situation was worth a try. He was silent and glaring at Luca, his striking gray eyes as intense and focused as ever.
Luca crossed his arms, looking the guy up and down. "You realize I have no intentions of hurting you, right?"
group
"Nor do I," Xander admitted, "but I don't know who to trust, and I'm pretty sure a demon isn't someone I should trust."
He let the shadows dissipate, but a dark aura, produced by a few wispy shadows, radiated from his skin. Xander was still obviously frightened.
"Anyway, what do you want from me?"
(I think we should wait for the others before we continue this)

(Okay, that's fine!)
(see ya tomorrow :D)

(Goodnight!)
((Hiya! Sorry I was away for a bit, I had school.))
((Idk what Genevieve should do…))
(you can throw her in whenever. maybe she hears/sees the people arguing and warns them not to use magic in public or something?)
Genevieve walks down the street, hands in her pockets. As she turns the corner, she hears loud, sharp, angry voices. She quickens her pace and walks towards the sound.
(Sorry I was away for a bit, school finished and I had to walk home)
Tanrial held up her hands in innocence, “Nothing really, just wanted to make sure you knew that I saw what you did is all.”
((is this still happening? I really hope so :D ))
(I’m still up for it)
((Yay!))
(Aha. Man, my English class is so boring rn, I have no idea what to write for my assignment!)
(Write about some sort of nonsense statistic)
(… it’s a novel study…)
(What novel?)
(Chinese Cinderella by Adeline Yen-Mah. It’s an alright book but not really my type)
(I don't know then)
(If you like autobiography’s then I would recommend it tho)
(Hmm, sounds interesting. Perhaps I'll check it out.)
