“Dang it, there goes that idea!” Amai giggled. He took another sip, “I don’t know why I don’t have this more, it’s pretty good.”
Double Lives // Superhero/villain Romance [One-On-One // Closed]
"Mm-hm," Blaine hummed in agreement, still sipping on her lemonade. "I make it myself, too."
(I gtg for a bit.)
(No problem lol. I’ll be on and off for a while)
“Wow, really?! That’s cool!” Amai said in amazement. He took another sip and put down the cup. He picked up the pencil he had been fiddling with before and started to play with it.
(I'm actually back. Lol.)
Blaine shrugged. "It's not like it's really that hard, though. It's just lemon juice, water, and sugar," she explained, watching Amai play with the pencil. "You like the pencil or something?"
“Nah, I just like to play with things. I don’t know, I just like moving my hands.” Amai shrugged. He took a mental note to try making lemonade the next day.
"Hm. You ever heard of a fidget spinner?" Blaine asked, finishing her lemonade.
“Yeah, but those don’t help me.” Amai laughed. He started using only one of his hand, using the other to finish his lemonade, “How have you been lately?”
Blaine shrugged, looking at something out of a window. "Busy. Really busy. You?"
“Same here, life really doesn’t give you a break, does it?” Amai sighed. He rested his chin on a hand (idk how to explain it) and fiddles with the pencil with the other.
(Lol. I'm pretty sure I get it.)
"No, no it does not. Especially for a college student," Blaine agreed, bringing her attention back inside the room.
(Sooo I’m just wondering so I can write it correctly, but what color is her sweatshirt? :P)
(Dark gray.)
(M’kay.)
Amai nodded in agreement. He looked at Blaine’s shoulder, not sure if his eyes were playing tricks on him or if there really was a growing dark spot, “Hey, Blaine? What’s up with that shoulder?” Amai asked, pointing it out.
Blaine's gaze shot back to Amai, and her eyes widened ever-so-slightly. She glanced down at her shoulder and bit her lip, tears forming in her eyes.
"Nonononono! Not this sweatshirt, not now!" she exclaimed, quickly standing and rushing back to her bathroom. Looking in the mirror, she gasped, covering her mouth with her hand, at the sight of the blood seeping through the bandage to her hoodie.
Zach's hoodie…
“Blaine, are you ok?” Amai stood up and ran towards the bathroom. He stood outside, letting Blaine have her privacy. He bit his lip.
Nonononono. This can't be right. I covered it well. The bandage shouldn't be soaked through, yet.
Blaine took the sweatshirt off to examine the wound. She was more worried about the stain the blood would leave on the hoodie than she was about bleeding this much, but she knew that she had to check on the gash in her shoulder. With shaking hands, she moved the strap of her tank top, looking at the already-soaked gauze as she did so. She gently pulled the gauze off, biting her lip when it hurt. After cleaning the wound again, she grabbed a new piece of gauze and more medical tape, then rebandaged it more carefully and using more gauze.
Now, hopefully, it won't bleed through this one so quickly.
She sighed, fixed her strap, then picked the hoodie up. Realizing that she was only wearing a tank top, Blaine inwardly groaned. She couldn't just go out in that, she needed a shirt.
The only shirt she could find was the one she had been wearing earlier, but the gauze on her shoulder would be visible due to the off-the-shoulder sleeves. Deciding that the shirt was better than nothing, she set the hoodie down and pulled the shirt on. After picking the hoodie up, she opened the door and noticed Amai standing just outside. She had forgotten he was there.
Her mouth moved, forming words that didn't come out, until she finally just closed her mouth.
(I’m probably gonna go for now, I’m not in much of a writing mood, sorry! :P)
Amai gasped when he saw the gauze, “What happened?!” Amai asked, his voice filled with worry.
(No problem!)
Blaine bit her lip, quickly forming a lie to cover up what had really happened.
"Oh, you know me, I'm a klutz," she laughed, then shrugged. "I was about to chop up some lettuce for a salad, and the knife slipped from my hands and flew up. I tried to catch it, and I did, but it wasn't exactly the best way, as you can see."
Amai couldn’t help but let out a small laugh, “Why would you try to catch a knife?!” Amai asked, “Trying to catch a knife isn’t the safest thing in the world.”
Blaine laughed and shrugged with her good shoulder.
"To be honest, I wasn't thinking about that. I just thought, 'Oh, I dropped something, I need to pick it up,'" she explained.
“Probably not the best thing to think when you’re dealing with knives,” Amai laughed.
"Apparently," Blaine laughed. She was glad the lie had been taken so well and that Amai wasn't suspicious.
“So, need help with it?” Amai asked, smiling, “You could probably handle it, but hey, you helped me, so I’ll be glad to return the favor.”
Blaine opened her mouth to tell him, "No, I'm fine," but the words didn't come out. Instead, she said, "Sure."
(I gtg for now, cya!)
“Alright, do you have all the things I need?” Amai asked.
(Okie-doke! Later!)
"Yeah. I'll go grab them," Blaine said, nodding as she stood. She made her way to the bathroom and grabbed the rest of her medical supplies. There was a fair amount, more than any normal person would have, but… she was not a normal person.
“Perfect!” Amai looked at them all, “That’s quite a bit of supplies,” Amai mused.
Blaine laughed. "Yeah, I'm pretty accident prone," she explained, setting everything on the floor before taking her seat again.
Amai laughed, “I can believe that.” Amai looked at all the supplies individually, looking at their uses, just in case.
