Meanwhile, Maya sits at home on her bed. Her kitten Hazel jumps up and purrs. Maya pulls out her phone and composes a text to AJ. "Hi! My name is Maya Remerez. I'm sure you don't remember me but I'm the girl from the coffee shop. The one who tripped and spilled cocoa everywhere. I wanted to ask if you were doing anything tomorrow. And also, what your name is."

Andrea just watched everyone around here, not sure what was happening. Isla was six? Andrea thought she was fourteen. It was strange, how everyone knew for sure that they didn't know how to handle a child and yet offered their home to her anyways-oh. Isla left along with some other girls. Hm.
Andrea took a sip of her coffee, now cold. Aj was still in the shop, but had left the table to talk to some other people. So what could she do?
“Not often, your my only sister, other than Ginger, but she’s a dog.”
