Isla ran back to AJ, shaking him. "why were you so mean to mrs. lady?"

Aj shrugs.

"Mr. Aj, you can't just take care of me by yourself!"

Aj feels a small vibration in his pocket. He takes out his phone and reads a text from Maya. He decides to text back, 'Hey. My name's Aj. I do remember you, 'cause I gave you my sweatshirt. I'm not doing anything tomorrow. What do you have planned?' Aj locked his phone and goes to sleep.

jess looked around her new room

Isla sat down and began to cry.

Maya picks up her phone after she hears it ding. It's from AJ. Maya smiles brightly and texts him back. "Oh gosh, I forgot you gave me your sweatshirt. If you're not doing anything I was wondering if you wanted to go hang out somewhere. I would also be able to return your sweatshirt."

Isla snuck over to Aj's phone, and saw the text. She texted back "Hey Miss Lady. I'm sowwy Mr aj was so meen to yoo. From Isla"

Maya saw the text, slightly confused she asked, "Do I know you, Isla?"

"I'm the litle girl at the cafeh that you sayd you could take cayr of."

Maya, surprised that this girl was texting her from AJ's phone, responded, "Oh yes! How are you doing?"

"Good. Mr Aj is sleepn"

Maya laughed to herself. "You should probably give him his phone back. Hehe"

"Nuh-uh."

Maya sighed. "Alright then. Do you think he would like it if I made a surprise visit?"

"Uh-huh, Mrs. Lady!"

Maya stood up, setting Hazel on the ground, popped on her shoes and coat and went out to her car. She checked her phone for the address before starting the car. She drove for a little under ten minutes before arriving at a fairly large house. She rang the doorbell.

Isla ran to the door and opened it. "Hello, Mrs. Lady!"

Maya waved and crouched down to her level. "Hi, Isla. My name is Maya. Where is AJ?"

"Asleep." Isla said simply.

Whispering, "May I come in?"

Isla nodded enthusiastically.

Maya walked in and sat down on the couch. Isla ran in, shutting the door behind her and went to wake up AJ.
