Dystopian RP?
"Yes, ma'am." And with that, Kodiak shoved past her and stormed off down the hall. Too bad for her, sometimes the truth is too much to handle…
Nyir composed herself with a shake of her head. She turned the opposite way, feeling vaguely bare. She decided to go check on Armand and Rowan, to see if Armand had made any progress with the rebel.
Armand suggested she allow him to reconnect the morphine, "It's going to be fairly painful, there's no tissue there. It's waiting for a graft to be finished to replace that part of your leg." He looked to his notes, standing in the darkness, checking as to when the graft would be finished. He hoped soon.
(Ok I'm back!)
"Whatever you say, doc." Rowan gave Armand a lazy smile, leaning back in the seat. The numbness was starting to fade and with it came pain along with the feeling her head was starting to clear. She made an attempt to sit up a little straighter and started to analyze her surroundings. Rowan's relaxed posture started to tense a bit. Something's wrong here… She thought quietly to herself.
"Excuse me," he said after reconnecting her, putting the painkiller in at a lower dosage. He rather enjoyed the company of this patient, for she hadn't yet tried to hurt him. He smiled a polite doctor smile, though he knew none of his smiles looked nice. "Did you ear? I was asking your name. If you remember, I'm Dr. Armand Watt."
(Also yay you're back, unfortunately I'll need to sleep soon.. XC)
Rowan could feel the medicine back in her system, immediately dulling her nerves. She sank back in the chair relaxedly. "My name's Rowan." She smiled back, holding out her hand for him to shake.
(As fun as this is sleep is more important lol. Don't worry about it!)
He took it. She seemed.. awfully relaxed. He hadn't imagined her to be comfortable in just the company of him in a dimly lit room. "Rowan. Wonderful! We were.. Talking earlier. About perhaps, improving certain aspects of yourself," he shook her lazy hand, "I'd like to discuss that, if we could." He didn't want to push the envelope too far, but he also felt like he was on a constant time constraint.
"We were?" Rowan furrowed her eyebrows. The last few hours had all been a blur. Even now she still felt dazed, in fact, the whole situation seemed surreal. "What do you mean by improvements?" Rowan inquired. The bad feeling she had before started to come back. Petree said not to trust this guy, right? Or was that just a dream?
"Yes, uhm, okay.." He was trying to think of a reliable way to put what he wanted. "I'd like to offer you some assistance to understanding the Smoke Society. Help you to understand some of the many reasons I follow President Harrison." He cleared his throat, the dream floating up for a moment, though he quickly washed it away. "I offer you stay. At first, confined, but don't worry. It's a cozy place, and I will be accommodating. Some others prefer violence and belittling others to teaching and the good of change." He looked at her seriously. "I believe we can all be a part of this, and we can make the society where we are all elites. I will help train you. Fairly. And you allow me to learn from the improvements we make for you." This was his truest hope for humanity.
(so sorry)
"I don't like President Harris." Rowan mumbled, uncertainty in her voice. What Armand had just offered sounded nice… and safe. Rowan hadn't felt safe in a long time. "What about Yuki? You're not gonna hurt her right? Or Petree?"
"HEY! WHAT AM I DOING HERE?" I screamed impulsively. Drat. I should have just kept my mouth shut, so I could listen to Armand talk about his secret plans. Armand raised an eyebrow and then the spy for Harris- Nyir?- came in with Kodiak.
"Traitor! I screamed at Kodiak. Nyir gave Kodiak an inquiring look, and he threw me a death glare before turning to face Nyir.
He laughed, "As you can see I let Petree keep her weapon," he moved the patient to a decent living room sized cell, "Though I don't know who Yuki is, though if she's the one who escaped, then I've got nothing to do with her." He set her in the room with a large spot in the white wall with a seamless screen built into it, very solid looking, on the scene of a crackling fireplace. There was a small soft-looking bed inside as well. A buzz, and he was notified of his finished grafts. "I must go to the labs to receive the replacement for your calf and foot," he said, nodding to her. "I hope to be back sooner rather than later, rest up." He moved out of the door after waiting for any reply she may have, locking the door securely behind him, before quickly pacing out of his office, locking it as well.
(g'night)
(I hate my time zone. I'm like, always 5 hours late..)
(I sleep during the day it sucks in these situations)
(Night!)
Rowan quietly took in her new surroundings after Armand left her. She was tired, but more confused than anything. Although she wasn't aware of it, the morphine in her system was what was making her so calm. Rowan managed to stand up and limp her way over to the soft bed. There was a dull pain in her leg, but it mostly felt numb. She curled up on the bed as comfortably as possible and drifted off to sleep.
As soon as Nyir and Kodiak left the room as well, Yuki slipped out. She shook Rowan awake. “I’m here to get you out.”, she told her as she awoke.
"Huh? Yuri?" Rowan looked up at her drowsily. "I can't walk." She gestured to the blood soaked bandage around her foot. "There was thus doctor guy. Said he was gonna get me a pros… prosthetic." Rowan told Yuki, still dazed and confused.
“I’ll carry you. I’ll take you to doctor for rebels. Please, you can’t trust this guy.” Desperation was shown on her face. “I don’t want you to go through anything, because I know what it’s like, being here.”
"Are we gonna get Petree too?" Rowan sat up and grabbed onto Yuki for support. "And where's Kodiak?" She added, looking around for anyone else in the shadows of the room.
“Yes we are going to get Petree.”, Yuki answered. “And I don’t know where Kodiak is, but we can get him later. He’s doing fine here and it’s good to have someone helping us from the inside. It will be helpful in the long run, because they trust him.”
Rowan nodded, trying to stifle another yawn. She could feel her eyes starting to shut, but she strained to keep them open. "You're sure that Armand guy is bad? He seemed nice." Rowan asked tiredly, scooting herself towards the edge of the warm bed. She looked up at Yuki again, needing help to stand.
Yuki turned around for Rowan to step onto her back. She helped her up and walked to where Petree was locked up. She took a deep breath and started to pull apart the bars of the cell. It was a challenge and her face was turning a little red, but she knew she could do it. Finally the bars of cell were wide enough for Petree to slip through. “Come on.”, she told Petree.
"Whoa…" Rowan looked at Yuki in awe. "I didn't know you could do that!" She gasped loudly before excitedly waving at Petree to join them.
“I lift weights in my free time”, Yuki said. “It can really help in a fight or a situation like this.” Yuki carried Rowan out of the building and watched as Petree followed them.
Rowan was nodding off in Yuki's arms, but she awoke a bit once fresh air hit her face. "Are you sure we can just… walk out? Seems weird to me."
“I had to bust through the door.” Yuki replied. “All other security systems I brought down before I got you. We’d better hurry though, they’ll figure out soon enough what has happened.”
Rowan nodded, wincing slightly as her leg started to throb. The morphine was beginning to wear off. She bit down on her lip to keep herself from showing she was in pain. "Let's hurry." She muttered.
