"Sure you are, but anyway. You have a brother? Younger probably," Cicada said walking around the dark room using her hand to dimly light everything, "But you almost said did. Has something happened?"

"Yeah, he… We were playing and I got upset and I yelled at him. He looked up into my eyes and that was it. Now he can't talk or move, he's braindead."

That was awful, the girl inside said don't push further. Yet the next words she said, "So it's your fault he's like that. That's why your here right? Cause you messed up big time."

He squirmed against his restraints. “No. I didn’t mean to. It wasn’t my fault!”

Cicada faced him and looked him dead in the eyes, "But it was. And I'll keep saying it until you make me stop, it was all your fault. You let your emotions get out of control and hurt him."

“It wasn’t my fault. It was these powers. It wasn’t me!” He tried to look away but she was so close and he was getting mad.

Cicada didn't back off, she knew she was pushing his limits, but to hell if something happened to her. She grinned, "But it was. It was your lack of control that caused it. Even now your about to lose your grip on them."

“NO! You’re lying,” he struggled. He was so afraid of hurting her but he could feel his emotions taking over.

"If I was then you wouldn't be so defensive. Go ahead, I don't care."

Maybe they should find a way to protect her… like sunglasses or force him to look at something like a rat or a bird… Then he couldn't hurt her when he blows up…

She's got a plan, it'll be fine.

"THEN PROVE IT!" Cicada shouted back.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?!" He thrust forward angrily. His pupils dilating and shrinking back.

Cicada had moved her hand over his eyes, so his ability wouldn't work. She backed away from him grinning, "I want you to do that."

He growled, his eyes dilating and shrinking back down over and over and began speeding up until a white light shot out from them. It disappeared in seconds. That's what broke his brother.

Cicada watched the white light and muttered, "Jesus," she spoke clearer next, "So I guess your turn is up? Eheh."

He was panting and broken but still muttered, "Yeah… your turn,"

"Sorry," Cicada said going to untie him. He sounded broken and she really hoped that hadn't hurt him too badly.

He was okay, not really emotionally but physically.
