Katy decided to walk over to the boy who walked over air and the girl who messed with shadows, "Hey."

Evey followed along ‘What is she doing?’

" Haha my life is a mess." She gave a hearty laugh. SHe was glad it was just them.

"Why's that?" He asked.

"Apparently, I'm invisible now," Katy looked at them.

" I don't know…. my parents think I am a failure, probably never be good for anyone." SHe said sadly.

She just noticed a girl standing next to them. " Umm hi?" She said uncertainly.

"Finally," Katy muttered, "Hello."

Evey rolled her eyes ‘Ignoring me again?’ “I’m here also”

" Sorry, umm do you need anything?" She asked. She wasn't used to this many people, just being alone all the time.

" What did I ever do to you?" She said to the other girl.

"No," Katy crossed her arms, "I justed wanted to say hi. You know socialize."

" Oh sorry, I just so use to being alone all the time." SHe apologized.

Evey scoffed “You don’t know what being alone is like”
(I think I made Evey a sorta-villain. With a tragic backstory, too! Damn)

"I get it," Katy responded, "For me this is a new school. New chances. Fresh start if you get me."

Zoe rolled her eyes. " Oh yeah tell me what does it feel like." She asked. She really didn't believe it.

Evey snarled “Being lonely is sitting in your room, hearing your father banging on the door about what a whore you are. Being lonely is going to kindergarten with bruises, having to say you fell over playing. Being lonely is telling someone about it, only for you to be excluded, your dad finding out and punishing you, being lonely is panic attacks, being lonely is feeling unsafe, being lonely is being told you deserve it. So don’t you ever pretend YOU know what it’s like to feel alone!” She pointed her finger at Zoe, tears streaming down her face as she ran from class

" That's not even half of it." She said softly, shaking her head in the girl's direction.

She whispered softly to them. " Being lonely is when your parents thought you were a failure and gave you away at birth. Being lonely is spending your whole life wondering why they didn't want you. Being lonely is having your best friend die in your arms. Being lonely is being unable to trust anyone anymore and slowly dieing on the inside. Being lonely is having no one that loves you or cares." She said softly in a cold and harsh tone. " She doesn't even know the half of it." She was unaffected by her words. They eat her up so much that she wasn't sure she could ever feel anything again.

"Hey," Katy wanted to touch the girl, but she didn't, "I don't know what you've been through, but don't let Evey get to you."

She didn't know why, but she hugged the girl. She thought the comfort was nice to have again.

Evey stormed into the bathroom, hiding in one of the stalls “It’s hard” she cried to herself “It’s hard being a kid without a mom and growing up. It’s hard and nobody understands”
