Claudia jumped off, landing gracefully on her feet. "Come on!" she said, waving.
Fandom crossover romance one on one (CLOSED)
Beatrice gathered all her strength and jumped off. She landed on her feet and stumbled a few steps after her landing. Eventully I will get used to this.
"Not bad."
"Thanks. I did better than I thought I would."
"Yeah, scoring you an 8.5." Claudia grinned.
"On what scale?" Beatrice smiled a little.
"One to ten. Next time you should bend your knees, it helps a lot."
"I'll try that. What's next?"
"I think we're supposed to jump across that gorge and onto the roof on the other side." Claudia said. She ran and jumped across, reaching the other side with a painful faceplant.
"Claudia! Are you okay!", Beatrice yelled as she got ready to jump.
"I'm fine!" she said, internally screaming.
Beatrice sprinted and jumped across, coming just short of the other side. Her fingers came into contact with the dirt and she grasped it. She was hanging on by one hand. Not strong enough to pull herself up, she held out her other hand to Claudia. "A little help, please?" She tried not to think of what would happen If she fell. I won't fall, I won't fall., Beatice continued to repeat in her mind.
Claudia pulled Beatrice up. "Not bad. Better than faceplanting." she said, grinning. "You'll get used to it."
"In sure I will. Will I ever get used to not seeing my parents?", she asked, already missing them.
"Yeah. You just get used to the idea of being apart after a while." Claudia said. She looked away.
Beatrice could never see herself becoming used to here parent's absence. It was just… strange. Then again, everything about this place was strange. "Why don't we go check out the compound and meet everyone?", she said, to try and change the subject.
"Sure thing." she nodded.
Beatice walked in and her eyes immediately landed on a large pit with a waterfall flowing through it. "What's that? It's beautiful!"
"The Pit." Claudia said. "It's sort of an entry point into the compound, where the chasm is located. The waterfall. It's a very common place for suicide."
"Suicide?" Beatice echoed back. "But why?"
"Some people get tired of life. I dunno." Claudia said, looking towards the deep pit.
"Nobody committed suicide in Abnegation." Because it was considered selfish, but she didn't mention that.
"I'm not surprised. To take your own life doesn't affect you nearly as much as it affects others." Claudia said, her face full of sympathy.
(Sorry)
"Yeah…" Beatice decided to change the subject again. "So where do we eat?"
"Allow me to show you." Claudia joked, leading the way to the cafeteria.
"Alright!" Beatrice chirped, happy to have changed the subject. She trailed after Claudia.
"Welcome to food paradise. Have a muffin." she said, snatching one off a nearby table.
"Okay, thanks." She took a bite out of the muffin. It was delicious. "Wow… we never had this kind of stuff in Abnegation."
"Whaaaaaaaaaaat?" Claudia asked.
"It was considered selfish…"
