Briar got out of his grip and grabbed his gun along with hers pointing it at the man and Kaid "Now give me my daughter" she said.
FBI Agent And A Criminal
Caleb quickly gestured to Kaid. "It's okay." He quickly shot at the Briar's former captor's hand.
the man groaned and backed up "I win't ask again" she warned.
He shook his head and leaned over the girl to protect her from gunfire "not until all guns go down!" he shouted over the noise
Caleb nodded towards Kaid. "Fair enough. Get Elizabeth out of here. Now."
briar shooke her head "who are you and what do you want with my daughter".
He picked the girl up and pulled briar to a door while Caleb cover him "I'm no one you need to worry about, call me family friend. Now go!" He handed her Lizzie and shoved her out the exit, going back inside to help Caleb
She picked up Lizzie and rushed outside.
Caleb kept his gun trained on the intruder, "Hands in the air. Put them on the back of your head. Now."
The intruder did as he was told.

Caleb glanced to make sure Briar and Lizzie made it out safely.
Briar kept running when she got shot in the shoulder dropping Lizzie.
Caleb yelled "BRIAR!"
Briar looked at her arm to see it bleeding out.
"Caleb go, I'll hold him off!" He called to his friend
"Mommy!" Lizzie yelped
"Lizzie run just run" she said.
She shook her head stubbornly "not without you," tears welled up in the little girls eyes
"I'm right behhind you I promise now go".
He glanced up at her and walked off a few feet, every so often checking over her shoulder to make sure her mother followed
"Go" she yelled briar was just a couple feet behind her,
Caleb nodded to Kaid. "Good luck." Then he bolted for Briar, scooping her up, he told Lizzie, "Hold onto my shirt, and don't let go! I'm going to get you and your mom out of here."
brair looked up at him
Caleb glanced at her. "I got you. I'm so sorry Briar. I'm so sorry…" He started jogging through the crowds, making sure Lizzie stayed with them.
"it's not your fault" she said.
Caleb's stomach churned. "That's just it… I'm worried it is…" He dodged around a flying fist as he wove through the crowds. He freed a hand and pulled Lizzie closer.
"it's not" she said.
He popped into a hallway off of the main building and jogged down them. He disagreed with Briar, but just pressed his lips together and didn't argue.
briar slowly closed her eyes.
Lizzie held on to the stranger's shirt, feeling familiar safety in his arms as they ran through the crowds.
Gunshots could be heard in the distance…then silence
