Matteo laughed. "Understandable. I should probably get going home too, if I let my sister or my dad try to cook the kitchen will burn down. Here." He wrote his phone number on his wrist, making it appear on Blaine's skin.

Blaine ran her thumb over the numbers, then blushed.
"Thanks. Here, let me give you mine." She wrote her number next to Matteo's on her wrist, causing it to also show up on his.
Glancing back up at Matteo, she gave him a quick smile as she grabbed her things and stood up. "It was good to meet you, Matteo. And you, too, Jasper," she said, turning to the boy and ruffling his hair a bit.
Matteo smiled. "Until next time then Blaine." Jasper laughed. "Hey! Not the hair!"

Blaine grinned. "Yeah. I'll see you later," she agreed, then turned and made her way toward the doors.
Matteo watched Blaine walk out of the door, then shook his head to snap himself out of it. He stood up and grabbed his coffee and backpack. "Come on Jasper. We don't want the kitchen burning down again." Jasper nodded as he slid out of his seat. "I still don't get how Liza burned down the kitchen trying to boil a pan of water."

Blaine's phone started ringing as soon as she walked out of the coffee shop, and she sighed before answering it, "Yes, Kenzie?"
"Blaine! Oh, thank goodness. Hunter and I are trying to decide on cake flavors, but I just don't know which one to pick. I need you to get over here right now!" the voice on the other end spoke frantically.
"All right, Kenzie, I'm on my way," Blaine said as she reached her car and unlocked it. She climbed into the driver's seat and asked, "Could you send me the address again, quick?"
"Of course, of course! Just hurry!"
Blaine stifled a groan as she said goodbye and hung up, buckling her seatbelt and starting the car as soon as she did so.

Persephone sighed miserably as she walked into the cafe down the street from her apartment, moving to the side to avoid a woman dashing out.
This is likely the worst day of my life, she thought, going over to a table in the corner, First Sarah dumps me, then I break my phone, and now my rent has gone up.
She rubs her face wearily before pulling out her laptop and pulling up the dance demonstration video she had recorded the day before.
