Matteo smiled. "Hey Blaine. How's your cousin's wedding planning going?" He laughed as Liz's threw a ball of crumpled paper at him. "Gah–Hey! That's not fair Liza!"
"Is too!" Liza shouted. "Pay attention to the food Mat!!!!" Matteo stuck out his tongue.

Leah nodded. "Veronica is more of the painter/drawer type of artistic, I'm more into singing, dancing, acting, along those lines."

Blaine chuckled quietly as she heard the bickering on the other end of the line.
"It's going okay. We finally got the cake flavor picked out, so now I just have to help them find a design," she explained, casting a quick glance at the couple in the corner. They hadn't moved, but they'd stopped talking and were just staring at each other. Kenzie's cheeks were flushed, but she had a small smile, and Hunter was grinning at her. He must have just been teasing her. "Liza is your sister, right?"
Matteo laughed. "Glad to hear it! And yes, Liz's is my twin sister."
Leah smiled. "Cool!'

"Cool," Blaine replied simply, unsure of what to say next.
A loud steaming sound could heard from Matteo's end. "Oh craters!" He exclaimed. "That's why I told you to keep an eye on the food! Honestly Matteo, at this rate you'll be worse off then me! " Liz's reprimanded as Matteo scrambled around the kitchen. Then she shouted so Blaine could hear her clearly, "You're impressive, you know that? There is almost no one who can distract Matteo when he's cooking. But you have!"
"Oh shut up Liza!!"

Blaine blushed, but chuckled.
"She seems like quite the character!" she exclaimed, laughing a bit. "I can't wait to meet her."
Matteo nodded. "She is. And hopefully you can meet her soon! But uhh…..when?" He asked slyly.

Blaine blew out a heavy breath.
"Honestly, I might be able to get these lovebirds to let me just text them pictures of cakes later so that we don't have to be here any longer. Then I'm free tonight," she stated with another glance at the two she was speaking about. They'd started kissing, so she rolled her eyes and looked back at the cakes.
Ugh, get a room, she thought.
"Cool! Do you…….want to do something with Liza tonight or just us two?" Wow. Smooth move dude. Yes yes I know I'm an idiot. I'm well aware of that.

Fynn's face lit up. "Really? I've seen some of their plays, and they're awesome."
Liz a rolled her eyes. "You're both pathetic. I've got something to do tonight, so maybe next time? I'm looking forward to meeting Blaine." Matteo nodded. "Okay, umm……does dinner at Olive Garden sound good?" He asked Blaine.

"Yeah, yeah. That sounds great," Blaine agreed.
"Blaine! Who're you talking to?" Kenzie questioned, walking over to her cousin with her fiancé in tow.
Blaine sighed and moved the phone away from her mouth. "It's someone. And I've got something to do tonight, so I'll text you cake designs later, okay?"
"Sure, sure. Just someone," Hunter teased.
Kenzie swatted playfully at his arm. "If she doesn't want to talk about it, leave her be," she told him. Nodding at Blaine, she said, "That's fine. Go have fun. You've been working hard and deserve a break."
"Thanks, Kenzie. I'll text you those pics later," Blaine promised. Moving the phone back to her mouth, she said, "Sorry, Matteo. That was my cousin."
Matteo smiled widely. "Great. Does eight sound good? And should I pick you up? Or should we meet there?"

Blaine chuckled at Matteo's questions.
"Eight sounds wonderful," she stated, nodding her farewell to her cousin as she walked back to her car. "And if you want to pick me up, that's fine, but I can drive if you don't."

"No it's fine. I can pick you up. Where do you live?" He asked as Liz's smirked.

"I'll text you my address," Blaine said, getting into her car. "Just give me a sec."
She pulled her phone away, opening her messaging app and quickly sending Matteo her address.
"There," she said, bringing the phone back up to her ear, "I sent it to you."
Matteo smiled. "Hey, that's actually close to my place. Well, I gotta gp, Jasper is calling for me. See you at eight then?"

"Yeah, I'll see you then," Blaine agreed, grinning. She hung up and set her phone on the seat next to her, then started her car and headed back to her apartment.
