“My power’s a lot more destructive than your guys’s,” Ferryn laughed. Her face turned passive, and she seemed to be concentrating - then the lights flickered.

"Technically I don't have a power. I'm… I'm not even human."
“That’s magic enough for this world,” she said, glancing up. Another small burst of electricity popped from her hands.
Lloyd watched the electricity curiously, wondering how the magic worked.
Seeing him watch, she smiled and lit a glowing ball of light in her hand. “This is as far as I can go with light, but it’s pretty.”
Becca laughed softly. "My powers………are not exactly the traditional mix of powers you'd find."
“What’s yours? Besides having a pet dragon.”
"How does it work? T-the magic, I mean. Angels don't really have magic normally, so I haven't had much experience with it."
"I have telekinesis, I can talk to animals, I can feel other peoples' emotions, and, oh yeah I have wings that I can absorb in my back." Becca said quietly.
“I don’t really know either. I was born with it. Almost killed my brother,” she said sheepishly.
“Oh that’s really cool,” Ferryn said. “I just realized, I don’t know your names. “I’m Ferryn.”
"I'm Lloyd. Lloyd Windsor."
“Nice to meet you, Lloyd,” she smiled, sitting down. She played with electricity between her hands.
"Rebecca. But please just call me Becca."
"So we're not going to die? Because I'd really rather not be burned at the stake for having wings…"
"No, we're not going to die Lloyd." Becca said with a small smile.

Lloyd gave a sigh of relief. "That's good, I was really worried!"

“I won’t let them,” Ferryn said. She started pacing again. “But what are we going to do about the king? It’s dumb, but I want him back. And maybe if we were the ones to do it… we could convince him we’re not all that bad.”
"Maybe… although seeing me may make him think he's dead. I've gotten that before."
“Well, it’s be fun to make him think he is. A little revenge.”
"I guess so…" Lloyd tapped his foot anxiously. "So what's the plan? I'm generally better at following order than giving them."
“I don’t know, I’ve never done anything or been anyone important.” She sighed and stopped pacing. “I guess first thing is to try and get into the palace to look for clues.”
"Is that legal? Or does it even matter now that we essentially have anarchy?"
“It’s legal if no one tries to stop us. Hmm… would the Guard go after us?”
"I hope not… I'm sure a guard would figure out that I'm an angel fairly quickly, and who knows what they'd do?" Lloyd shuddered at the thought.
