Oliver jumped down as well after Theta and Quinn, placing his hand on the wall as if he were trying to feel where they are. It was dimly lit, though he had been here enough to know which direction they should go. "Follow me," he said after a bit, beginning to make his way forward as Quinn followed along. Hopefully, they would make it to this so called library in a few moments…as long as they didn't run into anything within the tunnels.

"It should only take a few more minutes," Quinn said, looking towards Theta to reassure the other. She could feel how tense and reluctant they were, even if the other girl tried to keep it off her features.

(i'm going to assume we did a timeskip and arrived at the library, since everyone else is there already)
Theta practically shoved Oliver and Quinn aside as she burst out of the rabbit hole, even though she tried to look subtle. "Well, I'm not going to trip over myself in a rush to do that again," she attempted to joke, but her face was still pale.

Althea heard voices "I guess the others are here too." She said

Quinn bounded out of the tunnel in the form of a ashy, white rabbit, her gaze glaring at Theta as the other girl shoved the two. They had ran into a few odd figures in the rabbit hole, and she had decided to change into her smaller form in case anything else had tried to attack them once again.

"So, what did we miss so far?" Oliver asked as he glanced around the room, his tall form emerging from the dark tunnel in the wall. He twirled a piece of twine between his fingers, careful not to lose it…they would most likely need it later on.

Althea nodded her head in the direction of Orion " we met a new character, son of Rapunzel who has also lost his parents." She explained. Orion waved shyly

"Son of Rapunzel, huh?" Oliver repeated with a thoughtful frown as he studied the younger boy, though he quickly covered it with an easy going smile.

"What's your name?" Quinn asked, her interest piquing as she stepped out from a bookcase, her rabbit formed returned to her human one.

"Orion, and before you kill me, my family and I have nothing against wonderlandians! We are very curious about their world!" He said, trying to fix previous mistakes

“You know, our of context, it sounds an awful lot like you’re defending yourself against something you haven’t been accused of, which would lead people to believe you should be accused,” Reyna said drily, turning to face the newcomers.

Orion She liked the sound of that name. "And why would we ever want to kill you?" Quinn asked as she tilted her head to the side, a testing look on her features as she looked towards Orion. Had the other Wonderlandians threatened him earlier?

“You know, our of context, it sounds an awful lot like you’re defending yourself against something you haven’t been accused of, which would lead people to believe you should be accused,” Reyna said drily, turning to face the newcomers.

"I'm sorry, I'm parents said that I usually say whatever comes to mind, and I get nervous when I am put on the spot." He said, ru being his neck

@AvaM_Star

"Listen, Fitz," Madelyn decided to give the boy a clue, "First if we had threatened to kill you it would have either been out right and blunt and or so clever and subtle that you probably would not have picked up on it. Second we're not the kind of people to give out clues about true intentions. So more likely we would have befriended you and then stabbed you in the back." Madelyn sighed and leaned back against the pillar, "That being said it's compliantly unlikely any of those events would or could occurs do to that fact that unlike our reputation we are not completely without reason."

"C'mon, Lyn, don't confuse the poor boy," Oliver teased with a small smile, as he glanced over towards Orion with a softer, easy going expression. "Long story short, we won't hurt you unless you do something to us. And, I doubt that's going to happen," he explained good naturedly, putting everything into simpler terms.

@AvaM_Star

"That's half the fun." Madelyn rolled her eyes at Oliver. "But yes, simply put the world functions on reason," She said giving a devilish smile, "So don't give us one." She took Oliver's more good nature tone and brought it back to a tone that felt more like a warning than a friendly tip.

He nodded and played with a small locket.

(Hey! I had an idea! What if the mad hatter had helped Orions parents out in the past and owe him a debt? Orion doesnt realize that Maddie is the Hatters daughter but speaks of repaying a debt?)

Oliver chuckled and shook his head, finding it amusing when Madelyn took his tone and turned it into something that should be taken…warily. "So, what are we doing here exactly?" He asked after a few moments, a small, thoughtful frown crossing his features as he glanced around the library.

@AvaM_Star

(Nan, debt is not thing the Carter's would take advantage of or even accept.)

"Well, first anyone who dose not already have a safety tether should get one before we head in," She informed the rest of the group. "And we need to make a connection between the card and something tangible that makes sense."

"What kinds of connections?" Oliver asked, glancing around the library as if he were looking for some sort of sign for the card he had found at the party…and the one that felt heavy in his pocket. The Fool. What did that card mean anyway? That he was a fool?

Althea nodded in agreement "maybe we should find a book that relates to our parents. We might find answers there." She thought aloud

(Aka grimms fairytales lol)

(I realized something. Before we started, everyone was assigned a tarot card. I dont think Althea was assigned one)

(wait wait wait i changed my character from sam to theta… so what is theta's card?)

@AvaM_Star

(For Theta I'd recommend the page of cups it's a card for dreamers and is symbolic of good surprises. It mostly represents that idea that you should chase your dreams to find happiness and take the world as it comes believing that behind every door is a new adventure and every situation is a new opportunity. when reversed the card often means giving up on your dreams and letting your inner fire burn out.) (Connected element: water)(https://labyrinthos.co/blogs/tarot-card-meanings-list/page-of-cups-meaning-tarot-card-meanings)

(Althea why not the queen of swords. This card is about make judgments based on the facts and not letting bias getting in the way of truth. Even though she is about unbiased truth she is also compassionate often choosing to look both sides from many viewpoints before rendering judgment. When reversed the card can mean that you are letting emotions blind to the facts and truth of a matter.) (Connected element: air) (https://labyrinthos.co/blogs/tarot-card-meanings-list/queen-of-swords-meaning-tarot-card-meanings)

(Is this good?)

(Also Orion if anyone is interested maybe the Page of Pentacles, basically the card is about being hard working and having the determination to finish jobs that at first glance might seem to big or near impossible to complete. on the flip side it can also mean having a lack of direction or not looking at the bigger picture and feeling overwhelmed. (Connected element: Earth)(https://labyrinthos.co/blogs/tarot-card-meanings-list/page-of-pentacles-meaning-tarot-card-meanings)

(Anyone else missing a card?)

(Those are pretty cool lol)
(I replied last lol)

@AvaM_Star

(Does that work for your character?)

(Yep!)

@AvaM_Star

(Alright)

Althea nodded in agreement "maybe we should find a book that relates to our parents. We might find answers there." She thought aloud

Madelyn's eyes widened a bit, "I'd prefer not to, even if we could find one that is accurate, they tend to have personal details." She shifted a little uncomfortably, "and some of us might not feel comfortable sharing that kind of information with people we've only just met."

"Hmm. Maybe an enchanted book?" She asked walking in a random direction before stopping then moving another way. She did this a few times before coming back to the others.

@ImNotCrazyImAFangirl

“Read your part and pass it on, I suppose,” Reyna shrugged. She tested her string one more time. “And might I suggest we keep track of where everyone is?”

@AvaM_Star

"A sound off and/or partner system," She glanced over at Orion. "Wandering the rooms alone is dangerous." Madelyn looked around the room. Now that she was becoming acclimated she liked it even less this place impressed upon her the feeling of longing, a longing for knowledge, a longing for answers, a longing for logic, a longing for home, and a longing for freedom. She could feel that most the memories in this place were similar they were of people searching, but of corse it could not just be that simple. There were anomalies and she started to worry what she might see if she looked or got dragged in. They were all far away, but some how connected to the door. The essence of these memories were tied her by the lose threads that signified those lost to the endless rooms.

@Hallowed_Xeno

“ am I the only one worried about accepting a random person that we found in the library of Babel” Thanatos interupted. “ I mean this place is cruel it with cultists and phsycopaths and other abominations. For all we know Orion could be a spirit of the library trying to lead us towards our death.”

@AvaM_Star

"You're worried about death?" Madelyn turned to Thanatos, "That's absolutely hilarious." She started to laugh a little, "What do you have fear? should it not be us worrying about traveling with you?" She started to collect herself before looking at Orion with with an analytic gaze, "his clothes are well crafted and new. The embroidery is impeccable had to be done by master hands. It's not something you would find made in a place like this. It's at lest a years worth of work. Also he's seen the sun recently people who spend large amount of times tend to look rather corps like."
