Afriel leaned on Zackary Slightly as she spoke, "yes, but I believe the person I'm walking with is better."

Zackary chuckled and leaned into her, supporting her weight. “Mmm… I could say the same.”

Afriel smiled and swung their hands back and forth. Content with just being quiet and walking with Zackary.

Zackary kissed her forehead and hummed as they walked. He gazed around the village happily, smiling at everyone he saw.

Afriel continued to smile, happy to be with Zackary. "So, what are we gonna do without Eden around?"

Zackary snorted softly. “Whay aren’t we gonna do?” He laughed gently.

Afriel threw her head back in a laugh, "true true. But I'd really Like to raid the pantry. Steal all the sugary foods." She joked.

Zackary hummed. “Sounds like a plan. We can’t steal too much, though.”

"I know." Afriel continued to laugh lightly, "but will we be able to stop of selves? She dose make the best candies. I don't know why she doesn't sell them."

Zackary rolled his eyes. “Then let us steal them all and tell her we sold them so she can make more.”

Afriel looked up at him, her expretion playful. "Really? Don't think she'd murder us?"

Zackary chuckled. “No, I think she would. But we get candy.”

"We dooo." Afriel rubbed her hands together while still holding Zackarys hand.

Zackary grinned a loopy grin. “Let’s steal some.”

Afriel giggled evily, "yes." She again quickened her pace, pulling Zackary along.

Zackary jogged with her, sighing. “You’re just really excited, aren’tcha?”

"I am. This is sugar we're talking about. Of course I'm excited." Afriel tried to force herself to slow down, but it didn't work. "Well I'm not only excited about the candy."

Zackary chuckled gently. “What else are you excited about, then?”

Afriel grinned and gave him a peck on the lips, "oh, you know. Getting to be with you."

Zackary pecked her lips back happily. “Oh, yes, that’ll be a ton of fun.”

Afriel smiled, "mhm, yes." She swung their hands back and forth happily.

Zackary glanced up. “Ah, we’re almost there. How your quick pace has moved us!”

Afriel smiled, "huh, guess I was excited." She skipped along. "Come on."

Zackary chuckled. “I’m coming, I’m coming. I’m right behind you.”

Once the bakery was in sight Afriel came to a complete stop, "race you." She challenged him.

Zackary sighed. “Demons aren’t the best at running. I am not an exception.” He tugged on her hand. “Let’s just walk there like a lovey dovey couple.”

"Fine." Afriel mumbled before resuming the walk. She happily skipped along.

Zackary chuckled and kissed her cheek. “You’re skipping. Are you excited, dear?”

Afriel smiled up at him, "of course I am. Do I have a reason not to be?"

Zackary smiled and shook his head. “I suppose not. Continue.”
