Ronan nodded with a smile, giving her hand a comforting squeeze as he began to walk again. “The trees are brow, but they have green leaves. In the fall, though, the leaves turn red, orange, and yellow.”

Karina gave a shy laugh before responded. "No, I live next door. I heard the commotion outside and wanted to check it out."
Calixto merely stared at his feet as she spoke.
"Brown and green and red and orange and yellow." Calla said to herself, imagining their colors. Green, the color of the fresh leaves in the summer and spring. Brown, the color of the rough bark on the trunk. Red, orange, and yellow, the colors of the leaves in the fall. "Is the color of the grass white? I always imagined that it would be white."
"Oh and you and your Malachi are?" Lila asked the pair.

Faye nodded in understanding and stayed quiet, mind buzzing with thoughts. The Malchai looked to have been shocked. She had been thinking about an idea to help muffle the effects of the shock, but she hadn’t brought it up. Maybe Dax would let her try it back home, but she doubted he would.

“White grass?” Ronan repeated with a laugh and he shook his head. “No, it’s not white. The grass is green. But it could be painted white, I suppose.”
"White seems soft, but prickly at the same time. So I thought it would be the color of the grass. Is green the color of life?" Calla tightened her grip on Ronan's hand.

(Wow this site is working bad)
Ronan gave a warm smile. “Yeah, it is considered to be the color that represents life,” he said as he led her towards the building they stayed at.
(I want to scream so badly!)

Karina politely introduced herself and Calixto.
"I live next door, if you need a temporary place to stay until the Corsai leave."
"I think red represents the color of you. Of Ronan. Red is the color of flames, of anger, of the yells that pierce the black night, of love. Of you. I think my color is white. Pure, soft, the color of the grass even though it isn't really." Calla smiled at what she hoped was Ronan, but was actually a tree.

Faye shook her head, smiling. “No, I live just a few houses down. But thank you,” she added quickly. Karina seemed polite enough, but Calixto, like most Malchai, seemed indifferent.

“Red, huh? Red is a good color, and you’re right. You definetly are definetly the color white. You’re filled with innocence and light, you know,” Ronan said, snapping his fingers to get her to turn her head towards him instead of a tree.

(i gtg eat so maybe when I get back it'll work)
"Innocence and light." Calla turned her head towards him, "It doesn't sound anything like how we're created. Creatures of innocence and light, born of evil and the night."

(Alright, seeyah)
Ronan sighed softly and led Calla carefully up the stairs of the crumbling building. “That’s something that most Sunai’s don’t understand. We are not out disasters. Sure, we were created from them, but they aren’t what define us.”

"You talk like you know everything, Ronan. Stay modest, it is a virtue." Calla joked as she clung onto Ronan, making sure she wouldn't stumble. She hated stairs.

Ronan laughed softly and shook his head. “What can I say? I’m a scholar,” he joked right back, continuing to help Calla.

Faye glanced at Dax, noticing the nervous glint in his red eyes. “If you let me help, I can make sure it doesn’t hurt,” she murmured to him softly. Well, more to his chest area. Why did he have to be so goddamn tall?
Dax raised his eyebrow, "How?"
"No you're not." Calla said, grinning as she nearly fell on the last step.

“I had an idea that I’ve been considering, it should help muffle the shock of the collar,” Faye explained, still keeping her tone lowered as she motioned towards Dax’s neck.

“I’m closer to a scholar than you are,” Ronan said, laughing as he swept up Calla, dropping her in a playful, manner onto the soft cot. He crouched down next to the cot, a smile on his lips.

Karina nodded in understanding.
"It was nice to meet you then," she said, gesturing to Calixto to follow her. Drained from being shocked, he stood up and began to follow her home.
Lila looked between the Malachi and Faye to Karina and Calixto. She sighed poor Calixto had recently been shocked by the looks of it. The poor Malachi.
Calla laughed, reaching out to ruffle Ronan's hair as she felt the soft bed. "What color is it?"

Faye gave the pair a smile and nodded. “It was great to meet you as well,” she said, before turning her attention back to Dax. “He’s won’t find out,” she said quickly. She wanted to say that he could trust her to do this, but she had a feeling he wouldn’t. He didn’t trust her, and she understood that.

“The bed? It’s white, the blankets are orange,” Ronan said, chuckling when Calla messed with his hair.
"Are we going back to your place soon?" Lila asked, "Because I'm pretty sure there are some Corsai near us."
