Keekee bristled as Bryn came closer. Bryn's shoulders drooped.

Nova sighed. "Alright. We should start by figuring out why Keekee is so……edgy towards you."

"That might help," Bryn cringed as Keekee hissed and fanned the spikes out her tail. "Keekee, look. I'm sorry, ok?!" Keekee rolled her eyes and glared, but the spikes retracted.

Nova put her hand on Keekee's neck. "Alright Keekee, what's got your tail up in a bunch?" She asked.

Keekee snipped at Nova playfully. She gave a cheerful squeak. Bryn approached hopefully.

Nova laughed. "Bryn, do you…perhaps…..have an eel on you?" She asked.

Bryn blinked, very confused. "No… I don't think…"

"Just check. Are you carrying an eel or a weapon of some kind?"

"I always have my dagger in my boot. Could that be bothering her?" Bryn motioned to Keekee, who flamboyantly snorted.

"That's probably it." Nova nodded. She held out her hand. "You can have it back later, but let Keekee get used to you and trust you first."

Ireth and Bleu land outside the training arena before walking inside to see Keekee, Bryn, Nova and Sapphira.

Bryn handed over the dagger. She saw Ireth and Bleu enter and waved. Keekee's head shot up.

Ireth waves back. Bleu glares.

Nova nodded as she slipped Bryn's dagger into her pouch. Then she turned to Ireth. "You're late. Having problems too?"

Bryn scuffed the ground with her toe after seeing Bleu's glare. "I'm not having any luck with dragons today, am I?"

"I fell on my face while dancing, so…….. I guess you could say that."

"She's always like that."

Bryn disguised her smile well.

Nova nodded at Ireth. "You okay? And Bryn, you're knew at this. You're not going to be great with all dragons right away." She comforted as she put her hand on Bryn's shoulder. "But Sapphira loves you." Sapphira agreed by nudging Bryn playfully with her snout.

Bryn giggled and stroked Sapphira gently.

Ireth wiggles her nose. "Yeah, I'm fine. Been hurt worse back home. But we're my siblings rough."

Nova nodded. "So, should we start training? The others don't seem to be interested." She said with a slight smirk.

Bryn nodded violently. Keekee was refusing to look at her, even with the dagger gone.

"Keekee." Nova said sternly. "Stop being a jerk. Bryn is trying her best, but you have to try too."

"Bleu was like this when I met her first. You need to find something that she connects to. I sang the song my mother used to sing to me as a baby, and she was perfect after that."

Bryn made a face, "I cannot sing."

"I'm not saying you have to sing. Just find something she connects to."

Bryn looked at Keekee. "Well, she likes to ignore me."
