Nova leaned against Sapphira. "It's a long story. But basically, I found Sap when she was a baby, so she needed me and was willing to let me take care of her. I also rescued her from a hunter's ship, so there's that too."

Bryn looked at Keekee. She had been told that, in dragon years, Keekee was around her age. "How do you trust each other so much?:

"I really don't know. We just kind of……..bonded when we first met. She trusts me because I've already shown her several times that I AM trustworthy. And I trust her for the same reason."

"How would I show trust to Keekee?" Bryn asked, looking at her dragon. Keekee gave her a semi-hostile look back.

"Feed her I think." Olivia offered "Knight here was a dragonling when i got him and we bonded when i gave him half of my dinner." she laughed

"I showed Bleu the things I liked doing without doing anything dangerous," Ireth said, swaying with Bleu's head in her hands.

Bryn smiled at Keekee and attempted to approach her, slowly, holding her breath.

Keekee eyed Bryn suspiciously, then dropped her head tiredly. Bryn's shoulders slumped. "I'll never get Keekee to trust me…"

Nova shook her head. "Bryn, in order for her to trust you, you have to have confidence in yourself."

Bryn frowned slightly. "What does that mean?"

"You're putting yourself down. Have a little faith in yourself!"

"Okay." Bryn turned back to Keekee. I'm the boss, I'm the boss, I'm the boss, I'm the boss- She took a deep breath. "Keekee?" Keekee's head lifted and she snorted.
