Eve took the girl, Beta's hand and shook it. "The name's Eve. Nice to meet ya under such great circumstances." Eve laughed again, knowing she was probably being stupidly silly for a time like this, but not caring anymore. Her anger ebbing away, leaving room for her to smile and play off the disastrous events as only jokes.
Sarah, turned her head at the sound of chuckling, how could someone be laughing? Maybe a response to fear? probably, she turned her head back and knelt on the floor, knees to her chest and just stared aimlessly at the window, her eyes filled with sorrow
Eve turned to look behind her at the sound of rustling, and saw a brunette girl staring off into space on the floor a little ways away from her and Beta. "Hey, you okay there? You look a little nervous. First time here?" Eve asked jokingly, knowing full well it was everyone's first time going to the island.
Sarah turned her head in the direction of someone speaking to her "Others have been here more that one time!?" She asked with widened eyes, she didn't think this was possible but maybe she was missing information
"No, no. Sorry, I was just joking. I didn't mean to alarm you." Eve replied, worried that she may have upset the girl. "I'm pretty sure nobody here has been to the island before." She stated, trying to soothe the girl
"Oh ok, sorry for being over the edge is just that..well.. I don't really have to explain myself do I? Sarah said with a sly smile to lighten the atmosphere
"Im Sarah by the way" She said as soon as she remembered that she forgot to introduce herself

And I promise, I have never been to the island before in my life." She said with a wink, referring to her previous joke, and held out her hand to Sarah.
Sarah laughed, a true one, she took Eve's hand "Let's just promess we won`t be in each other's throats the next hour" She said with a chuckle to state it was a joke, maybe she can befriend Eve after all
"I make no promises," Eve stated loudly, "but I wasn't planning on it, so I think you're safe." she finished with a chuckle, hoping Sarah understood that she was only joking again. Eve wanted desperately to be friends with at least some of the people here before she died, she wasn't planning on making it home from the island alive, but maybe she could have a few good hours left. She may not trust all of them yet, but she know how fast people could grow on you

Lena looked up and around at everyone on the boat. She found herself glancing at the girl who spoke loudly, making a sort of peace treaty.
Sarah surely felt a little better from this chit chat, she didn't really want to be alone on the trip to the Island, better in company than alone she thought

Eve looked around once more before going back to her seat. She'd had quite a lot of excitement for one day and for now, she'd let others come talk to her. She sat in her seat looking around at all the other teens, trying to see what she could do to make this long trip seem less, well…, terrifying.

Morgan's ponytail waved around behind her, moving along with the wind. She saw most of the others huddled around the front of the large boat that would send them to their death. They were about half way to the island now and the coastline had disappeared completely. There was only open ocean to the left and right and a small shadow of an island up ahead.
She had heard about what happened to people on this island. They were sent to their deaths to fight and the winner was…well, her grandmother hadn't told her that yet. Morgan could only assume that this was the government's way of population control. She sighed, looking out at the waves, wishing that she could jump off. She smiled just thinking about it, but she was smarter than that. Morgan had heard stories about what happened to people who tried to escape their impending death. The sea was filled with creatures that could swallow a grown man in one bite. The reason that the boat they were currently on wasn't getting attacked is because of some material the boat is made of that repels the ocean creatures…or something like that.
"Hey!" Eve shouted to the guard at the back watching over them. "When are we getting off this boat?" She shouted, hoping they wouldn't be getting off the boat soon so she could try to talk to the others before the boat ride ended. Eve wanted to try to make a few more friends with some of these new people; she really did like the two girls she'd met already today.

The guard ignored the girl who had yelled at her. Morgan looked over at the girl. She walked over to the front of the boat where everyone else was. Looking out at the ocean, she responded. "About fifteen minutes."
"How can you tell?" Eve asked the mysterious girl who had moved towards her. She turned back to the guard again, "Thank for the help!" She yelled sarcastically, muttering "Jerk," under her breath. Eve looked back at this new girl, "Are we really THAT close to the island?" she questioned.

Morgan nodded. "They let us off on a dock about a hundred feet off the island." She looked at the girl, realizing how confused she was. "My great great grandfather escaped the island during his trial. That's why they put the creatures in the ocean now. He documented all of the things that happened when he was there."

Loki, doing his best to fight seasickness, listened in on Morgan and Eve.
"So he knows how to get off the island?" Eve whispered, trying to keep the guards from hearing their conversations. "That means there's a chance we could get off the island too." she whispered to Morgan

Morgan shook her head. "He created a boat and rowed his way back to the mainland. They added monsters and other things in the ocean to prevent people from leaving." She chuckled. "In less you can make an airplane, we're not leaving this island."

Loki drew closer, intrigued by the idea that maybe there really was a way to escape the island. He didn't exactly like the thought of dying this young.
