Apollo glanced around. He had just started to trot away.
“You… you want me to sit down with you?” He had heard of particularly lusty people hitting on waiters at this diner, but certainly not him.
"Tell me about your day, you look like you've been working rather hard." Samaeal said, truthfully.
You know you just want his digits. He scoffed. Then. Why am I like this.
“Er… okay.” Apollo sat down. “I-um… had a nice morning. I stumbled upon a stray cat who I’m thinking about putting food out for. He’s black and white and I wanna name him Oreo. He meows a lot.”
Samaeal perked up. He loved cats too much.
"Oh, my God what kind of shape is he in?" Don't tell me he's hurt?" He asked, a bit concerned. This time he had no reason to be annoyed with himself.
Apollo shook his head. “He’s not hurt but he’s kinda skinny. I wanna take him in when I see him next. Maybe take him to a vet and call him mine.”
"You know. I am quite good with cats. I have three of my own!" Samaeal replied. "Well, I won't bother you anymore…" He figured he was getting annoying…

Apollo blinked. He had enjoyed talking about cats.
“No! It’s okay! What types of cats do you have?”

"I have a Calico tabby, a Siamese, and A British shorthair." He explained, eagerly.
Apollo gasped. “All of those breeds are soooooo cuuuuute!” He couldn’t help shrieking.
"I think so too… That's why I got them. Maybe I'll have to show you pictures." Samaeal said, taking out his phone…
Apollo leaned forward a little. “Yasyasyaayaayayayaaaaaaaaassss!”

"You're an awfully excited man." Samaeal said, showing him pictures of three kittens cuddling in a box with a blsnket in it. They were small, frail, meek.
Apollo gasped and grabbed the phone. “Are they still this small?!?!”
"No." Samaeal said, swiping to reveal a photo of slightly bigger kittens. The Siamese was timid, the British shorthair was done with everyone's shit, and the calico was adventurous.
Apollo clapped his hands to his cheeks. “OHMYGODTHEYESOCUUUUUUUUUUUUTE!”
"I'll tell you what." Samaeal suggested, going for the 'kill' so to speak.
"Why don't I take you to see them…"
Apollo perked up. “Ohmygod would you?? That’d be— wait… eh. That’d be awesome!”
"Yeah… After your shift." Samaeal said, handing him his menu. "Speaking of which, why don't you get me the lobster, asparagus and greens." He ordered.
Apollo sighed and took out his pen and notepad.
“Okay, coming up.” He stood and walked off.
