Magic had been banned for so long. He himself didn’t use the Magic he possessed, because he was afraid of what would happen to him after. “Magic? How are you sure that it was a Magic User?”

@ShadeStar

"Yeah," Alex let out a long sigh and glanced around, "They definitely will be."

She turned to the guy, "You weren't here were you? Lady got shot in the head with lightning from a user."

“Well, that explains why the costumers were screaming and why the woman is on the floor.” He sighed and sat on a nearby chair.
If the people who work in the restaurant are lucky, the restaurant won’t get bad reputation or get shut down. Though I highly doubt that’ll happen.

Simone would have to talk to her boss about quitting. There was no way she could safely stay here with cops and detectives running about. Maybe she could just…leave now? No one would know she was here.

Maddie shuffled past a nearby diner, once more on the run. Someone had gotten her hopes up again, and she glanced around nervously, not wanting to get caught. There was a suspicious looking man across the street, and she darted into the diner. As it turned out, her paranoia got the best of her… again. Just an ordinary guy. Looking up, she saw the commotion abuzz inside the diner. "…what's going on?" Maddie asked quietly, not wanting to interfere with anything. The last thing she wanted to do was to get caught.

Bill pointed to the woman on the floor. He decided it wasn't his place to say anything since he didn't see it happen. He sighed and took out a pen and started twirling it around.

As Murphy slowly lounged around his dusty apartment, he decided that he would take an easy day, just spending time for himself and resting. He sat at his wicker table and chair, slowly lifting his splintered hands and coffee mug to his lips. He'd often thought about settling down because he really did enjoy this…Sunday mornings..the quiet, and jingle of his cats's collar as he softly pawed at Murphy's feet. He sighed, content, looking out through his also dusty window.
Murphy furrowed his eyebrows, What's goin' on out there?

Bill pointed to the woman on the floor. He decided it wasn't his place to say anything since he didn't see it happen. He sighed and took out a pen and started twirling it around.

"Woah… what happened?" she whispered, her eyes growing wide. Her paranoia started grow, and just after it had disappeared from the earlier, but much more minor scare.

@Larkspur

"Uhm, should someone help her?" Motioning to the officer.

@ShadeStar

Alex looked to the girls, "A magic user popped her in the head with electricity. And the woman is getting help. An ambulance should be here any moment."

As if on cue the flashing lights were seen outisde the window. She gave a shrug and started towards towards the door, "See? There here."

@Larkspur

"Okay then."

Authorities? That wasn't good, was it? She slowly moved away from the windows, burying herself in a corner.

Bill looked outside and sighed. He really did hope the ambulance didn’t question the people on what happened. He clicked the top of the pen and took out a piece of paper out of nowhere.

Simone prayed that she wouldn't have to explain what she saw, even though she knew she would. She was afraid that her answer would be too biased and they would find out that she was a magic user herself.

“So, if officers came in and asked you what happened, what would you say?” He said to Simone. He clicked the top of the pen a couple of good times before setting it down on the paper.

@Larkspur

Ashlyn took a deep breath and closed her eyes, "This is scary. . ."

Bill nods in agreement. This was a reason why Magic was banned from the whole entire world. He knew that some people wanted their rights back other just wanted to live as normal as possible.

@Larkspur

She started to hyperventilate.

"I…I don't know." Simone replied quietly. "I'd say…a man ran out of the kitchen with blood on his face. A woman ran after him, and she was probably the one who hurt him. He shot lightning at her and fled."

“Hm, okay, okay.” He wrote that down on the piece of paper and then tapped his fingers lightly against the hard wood. “This isn’t exactly normal, there hasn’t been a incident with magic ever since. .”

@ShadeStar

The ambulance workers walked into the restaurant and started to move the police woman out. The only words they spoke to the bystanders were polite requests to move out of the way. They were in and out quickly. Before they left one of the workers stepped up to Alex, "It's all taken care of Miss Law. Though may I ask why you called for us?"

"Thank you, and I am under no obligation to tell you," Alex gave him a polite smile though slightly strained, "I assume you'll take care of any problems that might happen?"

"Not my job miss," the worker responded with a shrug, "But I'm sure it'll be taken care of."

The worker left and Alex looked to the other with a shrug, "What? I'm not going to call the actual authorities when I can get a private sector to do it for me."

@spacebluelily language

“Well, that was certainly a good thing. I can imagine how many questions the actual authorities would ask.” He put the pen and paper away and sighed. His golden yellow eyes glowed for a bit before going back to normal.

@Larkspur

"I'm just going to go." She started to walk out of the diner. She didn't want to be seen there if actual authorities showed up and began to ask questions.

@ShadeStar

"I know how many the actual authorities would ask," Alex responded with a little snort, "If you all are still worried about actual authorities, they will show up, but we just got a bit more time to leave. So with that, I bid you adieu."

@Larkspur

She walked out the door and started heading to the apartment.

@PuffPoff

"Wait, how did you get them to do that? And a private sector? Who are you?" Simone asked, starting to think that there was a lot more to this person.

Bill stayed quiet and started playing around with his fingers. He looked at Simone and then at Alex. He also looked at the door where the last person who came in had left. He closed his eyes in thought and hummed silently.

@ShadeStar

"The name's Alex Law," Alex responded looking at the waitress. Her face had a little smug smirk on, but it more looked like she was ready for the storm that was about to come, "Daughter of two of the most powerful politicians currently in the country. Before you say anything, no I don't share their beliefs, in fact I think they're both stupid for thinking the things they think."

Maddie thought frantically for a way out, a strategy, a plan she could follow. Her brain split off into two separate ideas – she could stay here and wait to find out if the authorities suspected any other magic users around the area, or she could bolt out of the cafe and run. She very much liked the latter idea, but as much as she hated the first one, she knew it was logical, and she kept telling herself, If anything happens, all I have to do is run.

@Larkspur

Ashlyn had just gotten to the door of the apartment when she realized she didn't have the keys. She moved to grab her bag but realized that she had left it in the diner. She facepalmed and jogged back.
