(Ooh, that’s cool)
(Evil grin. Lucitius is perfect as a God of Chaos, because he causes chaos in the real world as well. Evil laugh. It really is infectious, because I have to remind myself [I nearly said mineself, grin] to switch over)
(And… sorry for taking an hour to reply. This turned out a lot longer than I thought. But, it was worth it!)
Lucitius grinned,”I know, yet I could not resist the tease.”
Mardicos huffed at Asuka, uninterested in her thanks. He sat down, watching Goldergon, glaring.
“Very well. And Goldergon is afraid because he knows what I plan to do. ‘Tis a fate worse than death for a Vanisher,”Lucitius said, chuckling.
He waved his fingers, lifting Goldergon’s paralyzed body to his feet, then snapped his fingers. Almost instantly, dozens of paralyzed humanoid creatures appeared, all golden eyed, all terrified. The form of Ehvara stood next to Goldergon.
Lucitius paused momentarily, staring at Ehvara, and he waved a finger toward her. Her paralysis faded, and at the same time, she collapsed into unconsciousness. He then turned back to Goldergon, smiling at the sight of hatred in his orbs.
Lucitius snapped his fingers and all but Goldergon and Ehvara disintegrated into mist. Sheer panic replaced the hatred in Goldergon’s eyes instantly. The mist swirled, then coalesced around Goldergon, being absorbed by his body until none of it remained. Lucitius released the paralysis and Goldergon collapsed face-first into the ground.
“He is mortal, powerless,”Lucitius said.
Lucitius waved a finger, mist appearing and rolling Goldergon onto his back. Goldergon stared blankly at the sky, his body quickly beginning to tremble, gold tears welling in his eyes. He started mumbling, his voice barely audible.
“What is this? Where are they? Why is it so quiet? Why does nothing make sense anymore?”
Lucitius contemplated Goldergon a moment, humming in thought. He glanced over at Ehvara’s unconscious form, an idea brewing in his mind.
Lucitius walked over to Goldergon and crouched down, staring into his golden eyes. He waved a claw in front of Goldergon to get his attention.
“You wish the realm to make sense again? For the quiet to go away?”Lucitius gently asked.
He smelled Goldergon’s desperation, even as the creature futilely tried to answer. Lucitius grabbed him by the chin, his claws cradling Goldergon’s head.
“Serve me, and earn your mind back,”Lucitius growled.
Goldergon breifly tried to look defiant, but his heavy shaking worked against him and he simply nodded, tears streaming from his eyes. Lucitius’ gaze softened and he tapped Goldergon on the forehead, a blue dot appearing. Goldergon cried out in pain, coiling, then gasped, looking around as if seeing the village for the first time.
Lucitius stood and moved over to Ehvara. He noted Mardicos huffing and walking off into an alley, but paid him no heed as he tapped Ehvara on the forehead as well, recalling that Goldergon often portrayed her as a shy woman, sister of his preferred form. Why not make that a reality?
Ehvara gasped awake, looking around warily. Lucitius nodded toward Goldergon, stepping away from her. She shakily sat up, looking at Lucitius in awe, then crawled over to Goldergon and hugged him tight. Goldergon, too shaken to reject her hug, wrapped his arms around her.
Nearby, Mardicos started to howl. Those howls turned into screams, then silenced. Many minutes later, Mardicos returned as a human, breathing heavily.
“Why did you let this foul creature live?”Mardicos snapped, his tone clearly favoring his wolf side despite his fully human form.
“Chaos. And Madness,”Lucitius replied with a thoughtful smile as he watched Goldergon and Ehvara.
“And you’re supposed to be sane?”Mardicos huffed.
“Sanity is relative, Mardicos. It truly is. Now, in other thoughts, what else would fit with chaos and madness?”Lucitius said, his eyes drifting off in thought.
Electricity and mist formed around his fingers, swirling aimlessly. Lucitius stared at it, then smiled.
“Chaos, Madness, and Storms. Lovely,”Lucitius rambled, glancing back at Goldergon and Ehvara.
Goldergon seemed to finally be calming down as he held onto Ehvara. His eyes slowly opened and he looked at Lucitius with terrified respect.
Mardicos noted Goldergon’s gaze. He glanced at Lucitius and shook his head in confused amazement.
