Angelo smiled softly, cuddling closer to the other as he pulled the blanket around both of them. "You're the best boyfriend I could ever ask for…" He mumbled sleepily, closing his eyes in an attempt to dispel the worry.
habiki chuckled " look in the mirror." he said and nuzzled into angelos chest.
Angelo smiled, kissing Habiki on the head and closing his eyes as he ran his fingers through the other’s hair. “I love you so much…”

Angelo awoke with the sun, nudging Habiki awake. "Hey, Biki, time to get Rose."
"mm okay.." he said and got up, getting dressed in a fuzzy shirt that matched his wolf fur, skinny black pants and his usual rainbow convers
Angelo smiled. He was always obsessed with Habiki's outfits. He lipped on a t shirt and ripped jeans, pulling on his Nikes and a red flannel jacket before grabbing his keys. "You ready?"
" always." he said and walked out to the car.
Angelo grinned warmly, doing the same routine of opening the door for Habiki, then started toward Max's house. He was absolutely terrified.
once they got there, habiki dreaded coming inside. he knocked, keeping his eyes on the ground
Angelo held Habiki's hand tightly, giving it a squeeze. It's all gonna be okay. He thought, even though he didn't believe it.
Max opened the door, face red with the fact that he had obviously been crying.
"Thank you for taking her." He mumbled. "I don't have any close family, and I won't let her stay with her dad, so you two mean a lot to me…" he choked out, closing his eyes to keep from tearing up.
Rose approached later, confused and nervous. She gave Max one last very tight hug and wiped her tears on his shirt. "Please visit, Maxie."
" he will rose." Habiki said and held out his arms for the child " m..max I'm so..so sorry.."
Angelo picked up rose, rocking her gently as he teared up.
Max whimpered. "No… not it's all my fault. I'm a criminal. She doesn't deserve to live with me. Hell, I hurt you, Habiki! I hurt you, and I don't know how you can ever forgive me, and I have no idea why you're saying sorry…" He ranted before stepping back. "I-I-I have a restraining order. And I have to head to the… court. Soon." He mumbled, handing Angelo Rose's suitcase. "Please be a good girl for me. I'll be back before you know it." He said softly to the girl, then took one last look at Habiki before turning away. he was afraid that odd thing in the air might come back.
Habiki teared up, taking rose from Angelo before smiling for the kid.
Angelo nodded, turning away and putting Rose's things in the back as he started the car again.
Rose sniffed, hugging Habiki tightly. "He won't even tell me what he did… all he said is that he is going away for a few months." She whimpered, looking up at Habiki. "He'll be back, right?"
" yes! He'll be back I promise." He said and hugged the chikd.
Rose nodded, holding onto Habiki as she stared out the window.
Angelo took a shaky breath, starting the drive back toward their apartment. Shit, where are we going to put her?? He asked Habiki nervously
we can make a pallet on the couch until we get her a smaller bed.
Angelo nodded. That sounds good. I can go get some sheets if you keep her entertained. He thought, pulling up to the apartment. "Bienvenidos, Rose! Welcome to your hotel!" He said, trying to be cheery. "I'm going to pick up some things for you, but Habiki will stay and hang out." He smiled. And I'll be more careful driving. He assured Habiki
thank you. He thought and took rose inside before shifting and curling up around the child.
Rose happily pet Habiki, then grabbed one of Angelo's baseballs and threw it gently across the room. "Go get it!" She cheered, giggling.
Habiki followed orders. Now if you took control like that he teased Angelo.
Angelo smirked, turning into the store. I’ll keep that in mind… he thought, sending a little bit of a mental image of what he was imagining
habiki flushed, shaking his head and bringing the ball back to rose.
Rose laughed, taking in and throwing it again
Angelo strode through the store, getting a small mattress and sheets, and since most of the food he had was spicy, he also got a few boxes of Mac n cheese and other assorted things he imagined she would like. He even got a few dog treats just for the hell of it
habiki raced bacck and forth with rose until he was too tired to move. mmm i always hated gym..
Rose noticed his tiredness and patted her lap. “Come, Habiki.”
Angelo laughed, pulling back to the apartment and unloading everything he bought. He had to shift a little, not enough the be noticeable, but enough so he could carry everything.
habiki gratefully got up an laid in roses lap. he said a relaxed grunt and nuzzled rose.
