Vallia shook her head. "I was with a hunter out in the wilderness for the most of this year. News didn't reach us there."

@WriteOutofTime

"We were attacked," Nyir explained, "and the castle fell. The royal family is most likely dead. All except the princess. We need your help to reclaim the kingdom."

Vallia nodded. "Alright then." She sheathed her knives. "First, I need to find a proper sword though.

@WriteOutofTime

Nyir slowly followed suit, sheathing her sword and straightening up. "Of course. Is there a blacksmith around here?"

"Yup. I was on my way there when I ran into you two." She said, weaving her way through the crowds. She turned. "Didn't catch your name though pal."

@WriteOutofTime

Nyir regarded her with a stern, serious glare. "I am Nyir, the princess's bodyguard."

"Oooooh. Okay. I thought you might have been. You've got that look on your face." She smirked, as they walked up to the smithy. "Are you guys waiting out here, or…"

Azalea sighed with relief. The warriors were no myth. They were real. They had found Vallia Kree, a descendant of the warriors. She was going to help them. They had finally taken a step forward. Emperor Therion was finally within reach.
Nyir and Vallia began to converse, with Azalea quietly walking next to her bodyguard.

@WriteOutofTime

"We'll wait," Nyir said simply. Her eyebrow arched disdainfully. This warrior, however skilled, was not what she had been expecting.

(Wait, I’m going to edit that.)

While Azalea and Nyir waited outside the shop, Azalea finally looked at Nyir.
“Isn’t it wonderful, Nyir?” she asked quietly, relieved. “They aren’t a myth. They’re real. I can finally— we have a way to take down Therion and take back the throne…”

@WriteOutofTime

Nyir had her doubts, but she didn't let them show. "It's certainly a good thing," she replied with a wan smile.

Vallia shrugged. "Suit yourself Mz. Nyir." She waved a jaunty salute and walked into the forge. She took a deep breath. The castle had fallen? How?

Azalea cleared her throat and straightened her posture.
“She’s… not what I expected, however…” the minute she said that, she laughed quietly to herself. “I guess I’m just too excited.”

(So Vallia isn't directly a warrior?)

@WriteOutofTime

Nyir merely shrugged. "We need all the help we can get."

(So Vallia isn't directly a warrior?)

(Not directly, yeah. If she was, then she’d be like, centuries old, and immortality kind of goes against the rule of this RP. No warrior in here is directly a warrior.)

(Okay, so she's just a descendant that has been trained in the warrior ways?)

Azalea nodded, but chose not to respond. Umacien was probably their next destination, but Azalea couldn’t help but think they might need a medic or two. Warriors weren’t much help if you got fatally wounded.

(Mhm, that’s correct.)

(I thought of there being villages for each warrior. Some are destroyed, some warriors left etc etc)

(K.)
Vallia walked out of the forge a half hour (?) or so later with a sword. "What do ya think of my new blade? I feel like I should name it. Is that normal?"

Azalea crossed her arms.
“Many of the previous warriors named their weapons,” she answered. “They thought of it as a sign of respect to their weapon.”

(Also, if you have an idea, do share.)

@WriteOutofTime

"Naming your weapon is a needless practice," Nyir replied shortly. "It's merely a weapon. Not a pet."

Vallia nodded. "OKay. I'm naming it Glitter."

@WriteOutofTime

She snorted. "Glitter. Congratulations, you chose the worst possible name."

She snorted. "Glitter. Congratulations, you chose the worst possible name."

"Well it'll be embarrassing for any foe when they waltz up to someone in the afterlife and are like 'Hey I got killed by the fearsome weapon Glitter.' " She snorted at her own joke.

“It’s a part of you,” interjected Azalea. “However, you do not name a weapon you do not work well with. The ancient warriors all had one weapon they chose to name, one weapon they chose to stick close to their heart. You name your weapon of choice something fierce. Not something so… disrespectful.”

"Oh. Okay. Ummmmm." She thought for a moment. "I've got one. Fire Blade."
