Firiko padded along at his side, staying quiet.
Is it too much to ask for a roleplay that won't die?
group
Thankfully, the rest of their day was uneventful. Add the sun set, Alex stopped for a moment.
"We should rest now, and continue at dawn."
Firiko nodded, ready to just sleep it off.
group
Alex looked around. He walked over to a tree and started to climb. He rested on a large lower limb, looking down at Firiko.
"I'll take first watch."
Firiko finally shifted, climbing up in the tree to join him, relaxing slightly as he shifted again. "Alright…"
group
"Goodnight, Firiko." Alex smiled softly.
Firiko nodded, allowing himself to drift off.
group
Alex silently watched the trees, the box on his lap. Add the smoky darkened, it could be seen that his eyes actually glowed softly. He squinted so his eyes wouldn't give them away. They were the only sign that he wasn't human.
Firiko slept quietly, his back paw hanging off the bach as his wings drooped.
group
(Time skip to morning? Alex wouldn't have woke Firiko up for a shift change. )
(Yeah)
Firiko stirred as sunlight came through the trees.
group
Alex glanced at Firiko, smiling softly.
"Good morning," he whispered. He readjusted, the box in his lap.
"Morning…" he hummed, still waking up.
group
Alex glanced around the forest again, then turned to Firiko.
"We'll have to get going soon, but I'll get some breakfast first." He winked.
Firiko watched him, still perched on the branch, "Okay…"
group
Alex jumped down from the tree, taking the box with him. He started hunting quietly, stalking through the underbrush.
Firiko watched him for as long as possible, before relaxing on the branch.
group
Alex seemed to have spotted something, and dived, disappearing into the bushes. He stood triumphantly a moment later, holding a rabbit by the ears.
Firiko grinned, watching him, very aware of how strange he looked, being a winged wolf in a tree.
group
The rabbit kicked weakly, trying to get of Alex's grip. Looking down, Alex quickly wrong its neck. He also had found a large leave, which he used add a backpack to carry the box in.
Firiko watched him, carefully getting up on his feet, and gliding out of the tree.
group
Alex set the rabbit down for a moment, gathering twice to make a fire.
Firiko watched as he set the twigs up and he stepped up to light it for him/
group
"Thanks!" Alex said, preparing the rabbit with a sharp cutting stone he had found.
Firiko shifted, offering him a dagger.
group
"Thanks!" Alex said chipperly, gratefully putting the stone down and accepting the dagger.
Firiko nodded, shifting again and curling up next to him.
group
After the rabbit was prepared, Alex jammed put a stick through the rabbit, setting over the fire.
Firiko watched him carefully, pressing against his side.
group
As the rabbit cooked, Alex put his hand on Firiko without realizing it.
