It could be worse: A one on one (CLOSED)

"Because you….. what?"

"It's true, I-I loved you ever since I met you, Samantha. I know you probably hate me now, but I would have regretted not telling you if I didn't."

"I need to go." Samantha said, running off into the night.

"What are you talking about?" He said, running after her. Regretting everything he just said.

Samantha hailed a cab to take her home. When she got there, she locked herself in her room.

He ended up using his motorcycle to go home and slipped a note under her door. He quietly left to his room, and went on his laptop to distract himself.

The noise of several gunshots came from Samantha's room, followed by some loud shouting and colorful language.

He thought Samantha was practicing her shooting out of anger and scrolled through random stuff on his computer.

Samantha walked out to the kitchen. "Damn, I'm starving." she muttered to herself.

He stayed in his room and looked through his laptop, wanting to give her time to think.

Samantha tried to make some easy-mac but overcooked it, causing the one smoke alarm she hadn't disabled out of anger go off. "STUPID MICROWAVE!" she shouted.

He left his room when he the smoke alarm to go off, "What did you do this time?"

"Food. It's the microwave's fault, not mine."

"You overcooked it, didn't you?" He said as he grabbed a step stool so he can disable the smoke alarms.

"Maybe." she huffed.

"I'm taking that as a yes." He finally turned off the smoke alarm and puts the step stool away, "So Ms. Samantha Dare can't even microwave food."

"Can I ask you a serious question?" she asked.

"Sure, I have nothing better to do anyway." He said.

She pulled Hayden close to her. "Kiss me." she said, their lips almost touching.

"W-What are you talking about?" He asked as his face turned a bright red.

"Do it. Now. Kiss me." she said.

"Fine," He said as he cupped her cheek and kissed her.

Samantha kissed him back, her heart beating so fast it was almost a buzz, nothing mattered except this moment, she could forget about murders, cases, just for a little while. This was exhilarating.

He was surprised when Samantha kissed him back, his left hand went over to her waist while his right hand stayed on her cheek. Maybe he could forget about everything for a moment, he could forget about murderers, cases, his job, just for a few minutes.

She pulled away, gasping for breath. "That was impulsive, I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't have done that." she said.

"What was the reason that made you kiss me?"

"It was just…. I'm sorry!"

"You don't need to be sorry, just answer one question. Do you like me or not?"

"Yes, I love you! But I'm already in a relationship, I don't know what to do, I don't want to be a cheater and it's just…." she said, and started to cry.

"If you don't want to be a cheater you only have two options. Option 1, break up with him. Option 2, pretend you don't like me and keep being in a relationship with the person." He said as he hugged her and started making circles on her back to comfort her.
