Cable wakes up on the side of the lake, fingertips still trailing in the water. With a start, he jerks his hand back and looks around. His companions are arguing, as they tend to do, and there is a faint tingling on his arm. Rolling his sleeve up, he stares at the tattooed words. THIS IS HELL. Chuckling a little to himself, he figures that home really was close to hell.
//oh wow I missed a lot, can someone sum it up?
(Everyone is just waking up at the moment. They want to go into town, but Cally's afraid that because this is hell, the rules of the town might actually matter here)
( so can I say that my character has been with them the entire time?)
(Yeah, just have your character wake up on the shore. They all literally just woke up anyway)
( All right then.)
Her senses slowly awakened as Alice grudgingly woke up on the side of the lake. She rubs her eyes before looking around to see all her friends already awake and trying to figure out what to do. She felt a little sting in her arm as she looked down and saw the words THIS IS HELL Tattooed on the spot. Great am I dead. She wondered to herself as she looked at her reflection in the lake.
“Nice to see that you’re up, we are about to go explore the corn fields.” Krishna said as he noticed Alice got her first look at their new predicament. “Thought that we would have to leave you out of all the fun.”
Alice silently nodded before getting up. "Am I dreaming?" She asked softly as she looked around before focusing on Krishna.
Cally looked at her. "Don't think so, Al."
(Hey, this is just a heads up, but I probably won't be on much today or tomorrow, because tomorrow's my birthday and later today I'm celebrating it with my friends)
"That's great, can't we go back and are we dead?" She asked as she yawned and stretched her arms, her fedora falling over her face.
( Hey Uh sorry to self promo here, but do some people want to join an rp I made? it's called Ms. Hiddleton's School of Dance and it's about a group of dancers who become friends there before a tragedy hits, tearing them apart before they have to team up to do the final performance, Thank you for your time reading this.)
Ori’s eyes flew open and she sat up straight, arms instinctively going around her chest. “What happened?” She said in a low, raspy voice before coughing and repeating herself.
"I have no idea." She replied as she touched the water of the lake. "Shouldn't we go back?" She asked unsurely as she looked into the water.
Cable looks at the two girls closest to him. "I woke up with my hands still in the water. I don't think that we can go back that way." With a shrug he turns to look at the town, and the fields of corn. The endless fields of corn.
"You know the scene in Last Jedi when Rey falls into the hole thing on the island and theres like a mirror thing and it manipulates around her? Maybe its like that." Alice suggested and picked off a cob of corn.
(Hey, um. I missed a lot. Could some one recap for me?)
(They're still waking up)
Cally smacked the corn out of her hand. "Don't touch the cornfield!" She hissed, as if something in the cornfield was listening. There was a low rustling sound coming from inside it.
"Why don't we touch the cornfield?" Jay asked with a sudden urge to touch.
"Because there is a rule against it, always has been. Ever since I can remember, my older brother can remember and probably since my mother too. This is stupid, we probably shouldn't go around breaking more rules after breaking the first one got us in this mess. If you all want to go into the corn field I will follow, but don't say I didn't warn you guys of the consequences."
Cally looked sheepish. "Because it's one of the rules. Don't you hear it?" She gestured towards the endless cornfields, and the quiet rustling sound that seemed to be getting louder every second.
"Oh nut, what if this is actually hell." Alice said nervously and dropped the corn before stepping back. You could see rustles in the cornfield. Something was happening.
Lili was still being pulled along by Jay but had made her way to the corn feild with them. She had snuck to the side of it and went in, following the rustling noise, 'If this really is hell, then the rules aren't as foreth coming here… are they?' she though, pushing herself through the leaves one stalk at a time.
Ori pushed herself up, standing straight. “How do we get back? Can we walk around this lake?”
