"Right this way." Elias started towards the basement door.

Lukie stood up and stretched before joining the other in going upstairs.

Meanwhile, Lukie floated around the room, poking at pictures and filthy piles of clothes.

Elias returned and shut the door behind him. "Welp. So much for that plan. Mom sold the other mattress I guess."

Lukie glanced over. "This room is absolutely ridiculously messy and stinky. How do you live like this?"

"I just don't care anymore." Elias flopped down onto his bed."

Lukie drifted over to look at Elias. "So where am I going to sleep? With you?" No disgust.

"Um…" Elias shrugged. "I guess? There's not really another option. Unless Jules wants to share with you."
