"You seem distant." Juniper looked to Audrey as she finishes her apple. June's hand moved to her sleeve, tugging at the end of it. "Penny for your thoughts?" The feeling she had wouldn't go away. Suddenly she slid her hand into her pocket, pulling out an actual penny and flipping it up in the air. A giggle escaped her lips as she tilted her head.
Kris just walked away, while looking at James while he repeated points at him and says “Fuck no! I refuse!”
Audrey felt her lips tug into a smile. “I’m just thinking about a plan to find my soulmate,” she explained. “I’ve already heard her speak so I know it’s a her, but I don’t know who she is. And I know she goes to our school, so there’s hope. I was thinking maybe you could help me? If it’s not too much trouble, that is.”
So there's a chance.. That my.. June. Focus!
Juniper nodded. "Of course I can! I actually am the same way… There's.. Ah, nevermind." She chuckled, standing. "Follow me." She motioned, stepping back away from the table. "Lunchroom is rather busy."
Audrey nodded, waving at the remaining people at the table before following June. “Yeah, that’s part of why it’s so complicated,” Audrey agreed with a chuckle. June really was attractive, a fact that Audrey knew wouldn’t help her search at all.
Making sure she didn't loose Audrey, Juniper led her out of the cafeteria and to a more unused hall.
"Do you know..what your soulmate said?" She seemed to get a little anxious with the subject, since she already was piecing together everything since she heard Audrey up close and not in the distance or some shiz. "Becuase I have an idea…"
“Really?” She asked, her eyes widening. Audrey lacked in the common sense department sometimes. She rolled up her sleeve, showing June her tattoo. “Umm this…a few minutes ago?” she added as an afterthought.
Juniper bit her lip, shifting her weight from foot to foot. After a moment she rolled up her sleeve, revealing her own tattoo on her slightly darker skin after reading what was on Audrey's arm.
Smiling brightly yet awkwardly she looked at Audrey, studying her.
Audrey gasped. “No way!” She exclaimed. She grinned and squeezed June into a hug. “This is awesome!”
Gaby sighs, rushing out of the lunchroom as her sister calls her
Juniper returned the hug quickly, nodding. "My goodness, best day ever!" She laughed a little, smiling wide.
keri poured through her book, finishing it with a few minutes to spare before the bell would ring. she sighed and decided to walk back to the cafeteria, thinking about her tattoo and if she would actually find her soulmate.
“We need to exchange numbers and stuff! Oh my gosh this is exciting!” Audrey chirped, pulling back, beaming.
Juniper nodded, stepping back all giddy and such.
"Who knew we would attend the same school? Seems unlikely when you think about it.." She chuckled, reaching into her pocket.
“I know right!” Audrey exclaimed, pulling out her own phone. “It’s crazy! But, like, good crazy!” She giggled.
Kris just walked away, while looking at James while he repeated points at him and says “Fuck no! I refuse!”
"No! I'm your soulmate, please don't walk away!" James asked, following Kris. He knew he couldn't force the other into anything but he'd finally found the person he was supposed to be with and they were walking away.
“Dude! No offense! But just hell no!” He continued to try and walk away.
"Why? Why won't you accept me?" James felt like his heart had been torn in two.
“Dude. You seem nice, but relationships and me have a very bad rep.”
"You couldn't at least try?"
Kris groaned and held up one finger
“One chance. That’s it.”
James smiled, "That's all I'm asking for," He took a step forward, "I'm James."
“And I am Kris, your local orphan that refuses to live in an orphanage.” He outstretched his hand to shake his.
"Better then being beaten by your dad and his slut of a girlfriend every time you go home." James shook the others hand.
June pulled out her own phone. "Agreed!" She clicked it on, putting in her passcode and opening her contacts.
Kris shook his head. “Fair enough dude, fair enough.” He then patted his back.
"Okay, so my number is [insert random phone number here]," Audrey said, also opening her contacts. She felt like she was about to explode, a ball of giddy nerves. She wondered if she and June should go on a date or something? Attempt to get to know each other better? That would probably be a good idea, she decided.
Juniper typed her number in her phone, then gave her own. "My numbers (Insert number here)." She looked up at Aubrey. "Maybe wanna..hang out after school?" She asked awkwardly, yet her tone was still energetic and cheerful.
“Yeah, totally!” Audrey agreed. “I was just thinking the same thing!” She was kind of nervous about it, but who wouldn’t be? June was pretty, but Audrey barely knew her. It was honestly sort of weird, but not in a bad way.
Kris then awkwardly backs away from James “sooooo are you free later or are your parents like, angry about that.”
