"True. I wonder what the people would do to me if they saw my wings?" Lloyd shuddered a bit as he thought of the possibilities. "I don't think it'd be pretty…"

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Probably not,” Tanrial shuffled her feet

@Fraust

"I just wish I were allowed to show my identity without fear of being killed… do you guys feel like that sometimes?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial nodded slowly, “I don’t know how many of my kind I’ve seen killed.”

@Fraust

"Hmm… I suppose I've been lucky enough not to experience that. I'm the only angel here that I know of right now, though there could be others who also hide their identities. I usually feel quite alone, since I'm different from the others and they don't even know it."

@ElderGod-Carrots

“I’m the only magic wielder I know of.”

@Fraust

"It's difficult, isn't it? Being different, and dangerously so. If you reveal a certain thing about yourself, it's likely you'll be killed. I wonder why that is. Why we can't just be ourselves, and be accepted for being different. Instead, we can be slaughtered without a second thought. And I've heard that some killings are quite gruesome."

Mari looked slightly upset at the talk of killing and hid behind Tanrial's hair.

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Beheading mostly.” She felt Mari hide behind her hair

Lloyd closed his eyes, trying to forget about the topic for the time being. However, this wasn't very successful and he kept imagining the horrible ways that he could be tortured or killed for being an angel, such as his wings being ripped off, or simply being burned. He grimaced a bit as he thought of these things, his eyes still shut.

Maybelle stood aside, listening to the heart-wrenching conversation. Never before had she been exposed to this type of world. She spent most of her times inside, going into the village only for supplies, and she usually never roams around in the forest. "That truly is terrible," she said simply. "What I don't understand is why anyone would even think to put you all down because you are special. Perhaps they are intimidated? Intimidated that you could out-do whatever they do?"

@Fraust

"Who knows? It's sort of like the salem witch trials I suppose…" Lloyd opened his eyes, looking down at his hands. "They see us as dangerous; as a threat. They destroy what they can't understand."

@JustAPandaWithALife

"Perhaps there is something that we could do. Start a revolution, maybe?" Maybelle shook her head, dismissing the idea. "Nevermind, I've been reading too many books lately."

Mari peeked out and fluttered in front of Maybelle, waving her arms excitedly.

@Fraust

"Yeah, violence might send the wrong idea." Lloyd fidgeted with his wings anxiously, tapping his foot. Thinking about this kind of thing always made him uncomfortable and afraid of everyone, thinking that anyone might find out his secret and kill him at any moment.

@ElderGod-Carrots

“It’s imposible to live a normal life. Groups of them go around the city, slums anything to find people like us. Although…” Tanrial said, “never mind it’s crazy.”

@JustAPandaWithALife

"Go on," Maybelle insisted to Tanrial. "What is it?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

“I heard a legend that far to the north there was a city, huge and beautiful. They say the sun bounces off the glass and ice making it glow. It’s a place where people like us can live in peace, humans to, but only the ones who accept us,” Tanrial signed “How I wish I was there.”

@Fraust

"Really? Do you think we could look for it?" Lloyd extended his wings more, probably to keep them out of his grasp so he couldn't fidget.

@JustAPandaWithALife

"Do you think it actually exists? Because if it really does, it would be perfect."

The little fairy got excited and flipped in the air.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial shrugged, “I guess we could look for it.” She smiled biting her lip

@Fraust

"Great! Let's get out of this place!" Lloyd stood up and stretched his wings, preparing himself to leave.

@ElderGod-Carrots

“We can’t go now! We need a plan, food, supplies. Who knows how long it’ll take to get there. An we need to know who is going.”

@JustAPandaWithALife

Maybelle took a step back. "Um, I don't know guys. I mean, unlike you, my parents are here. I have a life here." She gasped, knowing how rude that must have sounded. "I'm so sorry."

@Fraust

"Er, right… preparations… how far is this place supposed to be? I can probably fly, though I haven't for a while…" Lloyd seemed confused. "Do I even remember how to fly? I think I do… hmm…"

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Maybelle, it’s fine, really. You don’t have to come. Bit it would be nice if you did.” Tanrial gave a weak smile, “It’s up in the mountains, really far away. It might take us a couple months on foot.”

@Fraust

"How long by flight? I'm probably strong enough to carry people one at a time over the mountain."

@ElderGod-Carrots

“At least three weeks,” Tanrial made markings in the ground, “y]You haven’t flown in a while, it might be safer if we go by foot.”

Mari landed on Tanrial's head and chirped sadly about her size.
