Tara picked up her phone and dialed Darren as she walked out to her car.

Darren's phone rang, he picked up as he looked over to Sara, he couldn't tell if she was sleeping on the couch or not. "Hello?"

"Hey Darren. I just got off my shift." She said as she got into her car and started it. "Did you survive?" She joked.

"She's an angel… No complaints," He laughed, "No but seriously, I had no issues, she's a good kid,"

Tara smiled. "That's good. Can you direct me to your house so I can pick her up?"

"I can send you an address or directions," He pulled up his texts.

"Okay, thanks. See you in a few." Tara answered.

"Okay, thanks. See you in a few." Tara answered.

"Yup, I'll see you," He hung up, he tried to see if Tara was asleep but still couldn't tell. He didn't want to wake her if she was so he remained silent.

Sara slept silently on the couch.

Tara quickly drove to Darren's apartment, quickly finding it and knocking on the door.

Darren opened the door quietly, "Shh, She's asleep," He smiled.

Tara smiled brightly, despite how obviously exhausted she was. "Thanks a lot Darren. You're a life saver."

"Hey anytime Tara. Believe it or not, I actually had fun with her,"

Tara laughed. "That's good." She stood at the doorway awkwardly.

"You can come in, excuse the boxes," he laughed looking around. He saw the neat manner of his apartment as a mess somehow.

Tara laughed softly with him. "I'm sure I can try to ignore them." She joked. She walked silently over to Sara and tapped her sister's shoulder, but she didn't wake up. "Well, I guess I'll just carry her."

"I can carry her if you want," He didn't mean to sound clingy or make it seem like she couldn't do it on her own, he just felt the need to help her constantly.

Tara smiled. "Sure, that would be nice, thanks."

Darren picked the child up with ease and let Tara lead the way.

Tara led Darren back to her car and opened the car door. "Thanks Darren."

"Like I said, never a problem, I had fun," He put Sara in the car carefully and closed the door. He stared at Tara.
