River thought for a second. He whispered back, "Some of it. Had to try really hard not to blush."

"Same," she agreed. Her phone vibrated. She arched an eyebrow, her gaze asking 'Should I check it?'

River's smile went lazy again, 'If you want.'

Abby peeked. Her expression dropped.

River was almost scared as he asked, “What is it?”

Abby didn't show him. "It's nothing."

Darren smiled and held her close, he hadn't unpacked blankets yet so her chances of staying warm rested in his hands literally.

Tara smiled peacefully in her sleep.

Abby didn't show him. "It's nothing."

River looked at her strangely, "Are you sure?"

"Y-Yeah," she replied, quickly slipping her phone into three back pocket of her jeans.

River nodded and looked at her, "So are you going to go home anytime soon?"

"Yeah, you?"

"Yep. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to leave and you would stay here for another hour alone."

Abby blushed and looked at her feet. "Oh. I guess Tara will be waiting for me then."

"Probably," River looked to the sky his cheeks red, "I-We-You should get going. See you tomorrow?"

"Yeah. Bye then," Abby remarked, turning to walk back towards her car.

River nodded and began walking home. He lived close enough that driving felt like a waste of gas.

Abby arrived at her and Tara's apartment and unlocked the door. She shut the door behind her and looked around. "Tar? Where are you?" she asked, putting her keys on the peg. Several moments later, there was a knock at the door, making her jump.

River got home and fell onto his couch. He needed a nap.

Abby looked through the peeky hole and backed away quickly. She pulled out her phone and texted River.
He's outside my door!!! What do i do?

Wait what?
River shot up from where he was laying on the couch.
Whatever you do, do NOT answer him.

"Baby, I know that you're in there. And you're alone honey."
Abby recoiled farther from the door.
He said that he knows I'm here and alone! Help!!!!

River really didn't want to leave his house

Abby lunged for the handle, quickly locking it.
Erik heard the click. "Baby, let's talk. Please, come on."

Abby took a deep breath. "What do you want?"
"Baby, let me in. This is all a big misunderstanding."

River looked at his phone and waited for a response. Something to say everything was alright. He texted her.
