Marine Rescue (Closed)

Abby screamed in her fantasy.
"Perfect Erik," Fantasy River sneered.

River made his first batch. If she wanted more he would make more. He walked over and gently squeezed her shoulder, "Abby. Abby, you can wake up."

Abby jolted awake. She saw River, the dream fresh in her mind, and recoiled slightly. "Wh-What?"

River winced slightly as she recoiled. He said in a calm tone, "I finished the pancakes. Do you want some?"

Abby nodded. With every passing moment, the dream faded… But she still was unable to forget.

River grinned, "Great! I'll bring them over."

He waljed back into the kitchen area grabbing the plate of pancakes, butter, snd some syrup.

Abby tried to call herself down. "It was only a dream," she whispered to herself. "Only a dream."

River brought back the plates and handed one to Abby, "Are you doing okay?"

She took it and nodded. "Yeah, I guess…"

River sat on the floor,across from her, "That's good."

(Okay, uh… Abby's long distance boyfriend - Erik - that no one knew about broke up with her over text super early in the morning. That's why she was acting so weird. He was coming to her town that day to visit family and tried to get back together with Abby once in the parking lot of the Marine Reserve and second at her apartment. River saved her both times and Erik and River fought in the apartment and River kicked Erik out. Abby and River are now having pancakes.)

(Um, River and Abby are a ship. Erik is Abby's ex and is a bit of a jerk. Also River's currently in your guys' place per Abby's request after Erik entered and started assaulting her? Sort of? Yeah.)

Darren smiled and held her close, he hadn't unpacked blankets yet so her chances of staying warm rested in his hands literally.

Tara smiled peacefully in her sleep.

After an hour or so, Tara jolted awake, letting out a soft scream.

River sat on the floor,across from her, "That's good."

Abby smiled with her lips pressed tightly into a thin line.

River studied her face. Something seemed off, but he wouldn't push it.

Even though the dream was becoming more and more vague, she still pictured River's face, laughing at her and encouraging Erik.

River took a bite, "So…. Erik hasn't come back, that's good."

"Yeah," Abby agreed. "You wouldn't ever support him, would you?"

River shook her head quickly, "No way! He's a jerk."

"Because I had a dream that you did!" Abby blurted.
