"What?" River looked at her in slight shock, "I can assure you that won't happen Abby. I hate the dude."

"Okay," Abby said, looking down at her pancakes.

River sighed as he looked at the pancakes, "Did I mess them up?"

"No," she said, taking a bite. "They're really good."

River smiled at her, "Great!"

Abby sighed. "I can't believe he broke up with me…"

River nodded before he said, "Yeah. He doesn't deserve a girl like you."

Abby looked at River and blushed. "You… You really think so?"

River blushed and nodded, "Yeah."

Abby smiled shyly.

River laughed nervously. What else could he say?

River shrugged as he continued to eat, "If you wanna. She can handle herself right?"

"Yes. But I still worry. I'll just call her quick," Abby said, half to herself, as she picked up her phone and speed dialed Tara's number.

River gave her a quick nod and looked away. He always hated when people watched him talk on the phone.

Tara picked up her phone. "Y-yes Ab-Abby?" She stuttered into the phone.

"Tara? Are you okay?" Abby asked, quickly worried.

Tara took a deep breath. "Y-Yeah I'm fine. I should be getting home now though. I'll be there soon."

"Where are you?" Abby felt numb.

"With Darren." Tara said, pulling herself up off the couch.

"At his house?" Abby pressed. She just wanted to make sure that Tara was safe.

"Yeah. Yeah I am." Tara replied finally.
